genprompt_bingo is open for sign-ups for its latest round! (I have a bingo to post from my last card, so I think I shall get a new one! soon! \o/)
2.
allbingo is having a Gothic Bingo for April, which I haven't looked at properly yet, but I feel I should. I mean, I haven't done the flowers one yet, but it's not as if anyone minds at
allbingo and I am making progress.

unconventionalcourtship is back! And this time it's 10, can you believe it? Anyway, snag yourself an improbable romance novel summary and then commit fic crimes with it. What more could anyone ask of a fest?
3b. Never forget you can ask the UC Generator for ideas. It may not help but it will make life seem brighter, and is exactly what those summaries deserve, really.
4. Not quite on the same lines as the above, but you know how sometimes you're looking at the books on the supermarket's charity bookstall and then you see one so terrible you have to pay 50p and bring it home with you to examine more carefully and also show your internet friends exactly what a terrible thing you have just acquired?

It promises to be just as terrible as it looks, but I think I will have to at least skim it sometime to check.

Please do, because I have questions! And we might need a "The shadow of the tower" werewolf AU! XD

It looks very easy, so I will! idk when, because I can't stop reading Chalet Schools* until I'm finally done and I'm only just past halfway. /o\

Henry VII did fear his house was accursed of God! And see what happens; it can only mean a curse. *nods* <3
*It is sensible to check your emergency comfort reading series is shorter than 62 in number, really.

And whoa… this is weirdly plausible!!
568) The Scarlet Domino by Sylvia Thorpe
the Eighth Doctor was strikingly handsome, full of brooding hatreds, and raised in a sheltered world. Melanie Bush was exceptionally beautiful, charming, and something of a vamp. Within an hour of meeting they were married.
They were both surprised by what happened. They fell in love. And Eight found the freedom he had always been denied. And Mel discovered that her life was in danger.

If it is even slightly as good as its tagline, it'll be worth it! (It's probably worth it even if it's not.)

Also, wow, that's.... that's quite a book. Yep. :)

Hurrah! I must a) post the bingo I actually did and b) sign up again without waiting till I reinstall the printer so I can print out the bingo or c) (radical) reinstall the printer in fact and then sign up.
Also, wow, that's.... that's quite a book. Yep. :)
It wasn't what I expected to see looking back at me on the charity book table!! XD

No one expects King Henry the Werewolf! I mean, werewolves are sneaky that way, right? :)

BTW you could have just snapped a picture of the cover and saved your 50p plus however long it takes to read and throw it against the wall.

I could just have taken a picture of it if a) I had had my phone with me (I did not) and b) I was happy taking random photos of things in the supermarket (I'm not) and also c) I was not so curious that I wanted to skim the thing just for the lols myself. Otherwise a damn' fine plan, of course! ;-p

And, lol, that is definitely a combination, that is...

I'm jealous of you just walking up to the supermarket charity table and hitting instant gold! Glad you didn't have to elbow shoppers out of the way to snag it. Love the cover: like a proper history book cover, almost! It all makes sense as to why Henry VIII was the worst husband now *nods sagely* I guess you'll have to do the gothic bingo now, woof.

I was unaccountably the only one interested! XD I feel sure your wolves book person would disapprove highly of this sort of wolf-person approach, too.

I should at least look at the prompts, right?

What's wrong with people these days? On the upside for real wolf book lovers at least Henry VIII gets to keep his coat on, werewolves usually tend towards the headless chiselled male torso covers (Ghosts x-over?).
(I don't think the knitting is that bad, Dr Seward)

LOL! I feel like Humphrey might object, really. But then when does his body take any notice of him these days?
