Yeah, well, I was delighted.

♥ ♥ ♥ I enjoyed it myself, but I did have a really lovely DW prompt for the last day, but I was just too flat to do anything that wouldn't have annoyed me forever afterwards.

When I have the bandwidth for television, Wish Me Luck is on the list. The fact that a show about SOE women hadn't crossed my radar before you started posting about it is peculiar.

It was popular enough here at the time, but it isn't really well known as such, so I don't think it's surprising it escaped even your interested gaze - it was 35 years ago, and Brit TV had done such a lot of WWII shows across the 70s and the 80s. WML was put together by the team who did Tenko, which is a lot more well-known and probably overshadows WML. And as I've mentioned, my parents must have watched it when I was ten and I simultaneously adored it and Matty and Liz and found it the most terrifying bit of nightmare fuel I'd ever seen in a completely fascinating way. As a TV show, it's hard to comment - I think overall, it's still very watchable and s1-2 are so female-centric, it's very refreshing even now. (S3 is less so, but it has different source material, and they lost a lot of the cast, but it goes for one hell of ending anyway.)
