Plot and Loophole

An old This Time Round story, but one I'm rather fond of, and is actually my first Who/Spooks crossover, but TTR is a bit bizarre, so I didn't start with this.  However, posting this on adwc I found the others (tut tut) had not been watching Spooks, so I had to do the straight crossover.  Besides, I had to pay my dues after abusing the whole Loophole thing from the Round.

So:

Polly is fed up with being continuity cop and never getting to go to the party, so Two decides to cover for her for a night.  Naturally, this is not a good plan & various characters sneak in who have no business being there, including Tessa from Spooks, who decides to try and take over the Round because she's bored.  Ruth comes to the rescue.

But be prepared for the madness of the Round.  And librarian cliches at the end, as I accidentally wrote myself into the Round in another story.  Look, this sort of thing just happens outside reality.  I did write this a while ago & it does refer to other TTR stories.  But the epilogue is still good fun.

Warnings: General TTR craziness with Nyssa still trying to kill Adric.  Plus, it could probably use some reworking, but I can't mess with the Round stories.

*jumps up and down with uncontained glee* Oh, this is INSANE! I love it.

She said nervously, "I couldn't help over-hearing - and I think you might be wrong." >>> Ruth in a nutshell, all in the very first line.

but she's not keen on romance >>> If only all the diehard R/H 4EVA shippers would consider Ruth's feelings on the subject!

"Look," said the stranger. "I think we've confused each other. Let's start again. I'm the Doctor - and you are?" >>> I love this collision of worlds, and that it's Ruth who manages to sound like the one from a strange planet. I love anything which puts Spooks characters in situations where their 'normal' way of thinking is anything but.

She was lost, in purgatory, but for a just cause. >>> Ok, that's two times now where we've written the same line! Perhaps we have a psychic connection? Also, what fun to write yourself into the story! I would love to spend an afternoon drinking with the Doctors & co, especially in a crazy loophole land.

Oh, long comment. Sorry. But this was brilliant.

Hmm, I think I missed the rest of the story! Could you link me to part 2? I was thinking it ended a little abruptly!
