I've been thinking about this since I talked about favourite memes the other day. And, you know, maybe it's been long enough that we could risk it again? Let's see:

1. Comment to this post with "I surrender!" and I'll assign you the basis of some TV show idea. (Science fiction show, medical drama, criminal procedure, etc...)
2. Create a cast of characters, including the actors who'd play them.
3. Add in any actor photos, character bios and show synopsis that you want.
4. Post to your own journal.

I just try to cast people who seem right, mostly (except when I get desperate) but hopefully that won't necessarily be completely irrelevant to your interests.

Okay, you have all the might of the BBC at your disposal and a brief to make a big historical drama of a period of your choice! (Up to you whether it's well-researched and faithful) or bears no real relation to actual historical facts whatsoever.) Only qualifier is - not something that's been done several times already.

I was thinking, "Oh, that's surprisingly easy," until I got to the qualifier. Urk!

Of course, I could just cheat and use "Shadow of the Tower" as I know you said you hadn't found many series about Henry VII. I think it'd be more fun to make a really bad series though - the ones that make actual historians froth with rage. :oD

Heh, well, you know, not just Henry VIII or Elizabeth I again, that sort of thing. (And, :lol:, true, you could make a new really unhistorical version of Shadow of the Tower; you're right about Henry VII being under-represented!) Just as long as it hasn't been done very often. :-)

The series isn't set in the '60s, but if memory serves there is that one episode where the Middleman's predecessor from the '60s winds up in the present day. (And at one point he makes a Star Trek reference and then immediate apologizes to our heroes for riffing on a show that was cancelled 40 years ago and they've probably never heard of.)
