They do end up together in one of the Miss Marple adaptions, where he is played by Jack Hannah. i found that a lot more satisfying!

It was! Although I still haven't forgiven ITV for adding random Inspectoral romances to pretty much all of them and then not even bothering with INspector Neele/Mary Dove (which I forgot, that's probably my favourite) which actually has real canon grounds! And they even cast Matthew Macfadyen. That was not the moment to stop and be religiously faithful!

I always feel sure it was Brian, not Cedric, although we don't really know. *side-eyes Agatha*
