Hmm, we would probably say drunk, but some slang terms would be sloshed, snockered (sp?), three sheets to the wind, etc.

As for the US/Yank/insert politically correct term of your choice-pick, I think the lack of a recognized term has more to do with the fact that there are more of us trying to write in British English than there are of you trying to write American English.
