I am always amused when writers of this kind of thing start describing the characters/actors - and in scripts in ongoing series when they know them too. It borders on fanfic and there are so many times you can't help raising an eyebrow and wondering if they're going to start writing out/bashing other characters and committing random slash next. Fandom is such a bad influence... (And this one! There will be more, but let's just say that shortly after the Alfred Burke's face paragraph, Bernard Horsfall is finding himself riveted by Simon Cadell's intense blue eyes. 0_o And then he meets Alfred Burke's gaze across the crowded dance floor hotel room. It is the start of something important, yes. Mind, the author doesn't bother describing Bernard Horsfall, who's only the main character. He's just "haggard" that day. Poor Bernard Horsfall.)
