I love Bernard Horsfall, though I've only ever seen his various Doctor Who appearances.
*sidles up to your elbow instantly* May I introduce you to Enemy at the Door, a 1978-80 WWII drama set in the Channel Island in which he was co-lead with Alfred Burke? It was v well researched, complex and compassionate so despite a lot of YMMV stuff generally stands up pretty well still (although, of course, YMMV ;-p). The only downside is that it got cancelled before the end because the Jersey location filming was expensive.
I made a trailer here, too. (It has technical sound issues, because I made it to discover if I could get around my programme's audio issues, and the answer to that was no.)
It is even out in R1, unlike a lot of this stuff! And a couple of people have it up on YT, so it should be obtainable.
