I've just posted Chapter Twenty-Four.

In which Nat's nightmare becomes real.

(I'd hoped to get more than that, but I failed to do things like sleep last night... Anyway, that was the bit that needed re-writing, so the next bit should be up tomorrow.) I've only just posted it, so don't know when it may be okayed.

The soldier pulled a face, evidently not feeling that lucky covered the state his arm was in.

That "covered" should surely be "considering"...

Nope. You're right, I need a better word or phrase, so I shall go and think about it, but that was actually what I meant to write. 8-o

Yep. I've altered it to something like not feeling that 'lucky' was any way to describe the state his arm was in.
