Fanvid: Scarlet (Once Upon A Time )

A Once Upon A Time S1 vid for Red, Snow & Charming. This was made for settiai, who put a Red/Snow/Charming vid on her snowflake_challenge wishlist and which I thought was a great idea. And then I found this song, which was something else again. So I don't know if this is at all what was wanted, but here it is, to the best of my (rather limited) vidding ability:

\o/ Yay, so glad you liked it! Once I found the song, it had to be tried anyway, and I liked the idea of a Red/Snow/Charming vid but then I wound up rather frustrated with it - but I decided in the end, that was probably only me being tired rather than the vid actually being the Worst Ever. But it's so hard to tell by that point, though...

But, anyway, thanks for the idea because it was fun to try and pull out some of the connections between them, and I fell in love with the song, which was lurking unheard on one of a pile of compilations CDs I'd picked up second hand lately (just in case, for vidding.). Neither of which I'd ever have done otherwise. :-)

The song is lovely - I had it on this bundle of compilation CDs I'd picked up in a charity shop and hadn't ever really heard it before I went looking for something for this - and I loved it then and had to find some more All About Eve, although that's still my favourite track so far. (Though Candy Tree would make a great OUaT tribute vid. :-D)

The whole of Scarlet and Other Stories is worth a listen, but try Road to your Soul, More Than the Blues, or Pieces of Our Heart. I know their other albums less well but I also really like Martha's Harbour, What Kind of Fool and In the Clouds.

And oooh, you're right about Candy Tree! That would be amazing!

Oh, thanks for the recs - and I can tell they're good ones, because I found their Best of album v cheap on Amazon and you've named several of the ones I like best from that (it doesn't have the others). I like "Different Sky" as well. :-)

I know. Because I got the CD because of OUaT, I had to stop and blink a bit in case I was imagining the lyrics. Somebody should make that sometime, heh.

Yay! And I like it. It's a good song choice, especially for Red, but I like the way you've related it to the other two, as well.

Aw, thank you! I really loved the song when I stumbled over it and it kind of frustrated me - I think there's something I wanted to do with it that I didn't quite, but I don't know. (Vidding is strange!) And I did think about making it solely for Red, but it was a good one for bringing out the connections between them as well.

I thought I'd seen most of Once Upon a Time, but you found a lot of scenes that I don't remember seeing. Obviously a structured re-watch is in order!

And, heh, I suppose that is one of the points of vidding, though - to pull out moments that people hadn't noticed. I ripped clips from quite a lot of episodes, but I think they kept coming back to Red-Handed, Heart of Darkness and the last two (though there are some others).

Aw, thanks. Glad you liked it. And they do have an interesting relationship. It wasn't my idea to make the vid, but I leapt on it, really because of that. :-)
