Hail, fellow travellers, and well met. My Dreamwidth is mostly for fic, recs, icons, vids and fannish nonsense & fic/vids/icons etc. generally remain open. I'm terribly obscure and multi-fannish, but generally happy to make new friends with shared fandom interests.

Hi, of course not! I'm happy to have new people around. I added you here & also friended you at LJ. I use both, obviously, & don't mind where people comment but I have a terrible tendency to completely forget to read my Dreamwidth reading list, whereas I'm always on the LJ side.

(I'm sorry that I didn't have any Jemma Redgrave icons, though. It is a sad omission on my part. I hope you found some elsewhere!)

I hope you have fun on Dreamwidth, but I think you have maybe muddled me up with somebody else - I've never even watched Supernatural, I'm afraid. Try searching by interests and you should find plenty of people who are fans of the show, though.

Funnily enough, I saw your stocking when going through the Classic Who tag on Fandom Stocking just recently, and thought that clearly we should be friends going by your listed fandoms/ships etc.! So, I shall certainly friend you now - this was a v nice surprise. Thanks for stopping by! (My plan to write you something excellent for fandom_stocking and then attempt to leap out and friend you after was not going v well anyway; I have been largely failing at fandom_stocking as usual, so I'm glad you tried the direct approach!)

Hi, I was reading some of your fic and enjoyed them and then I came over here and discovered that we both enjoyed Tenko and Secret Army and very likely other wartime and older British TV dramas, plus you seem to be reading Bujold which is my first fannish love - so anyway, hello, may I come in?

Hi, yes indeed - and welcome! Both this comment and that on my fic was a nice thing to find today. And, ha, yes, I do very much like quite a few other old Brit TV dramas. (I've been ill and I find the pace easier to take, but it does play havoc with trying to be fannish when you're into beige TV.)

I loved Tenko (especially Bea & Sister Ulrica, but all of them) and did enjoy Secret Army, although I grew up watching Allo Allo so it took a while to get past that! But I did.

And since you do like that kind of thing, then I do recommend the show the fic was for - it's Enemy at the Door, which was made around the same time as Secret Army by the other side and was about the Occupation of the Channel Islands. The producer/script writer once described it as being a show about ordinary people on both sides in extraordinary situations, which is not far from the comment you made, so perhaps it might appeal. (It's very character-driven and not very action-orientated, so it has often been overlooked since, though it was popular enough when it came out and it actually has a R1 release, unlike a lot of its contemporaries. Also bonus bb!Anthony Head, which is nice.)

I would say don't run away, I don't always go on about cardboard telly, but actually I do a lot, so feel free if you need to! (I hope not, though.)

(Mind, you should know that the bits of my blog that were previously under flock are mainly me babbling about old Brit telly, which can get a bit much for some after a while. Also actors in old Brit telly.)

Hello! I was Norda on LJ, and am Sylphidine_Gallimaufry. Started my DW account back up after Tumblr's latest alienation of its userbase.

I am still a diehard Blake's 7 and Classic Who fan, even though most of the fanfiction that I write is for other fandoms. I have thrown the Doctor into at least two of my fics, and desperately want to write B7 crossovers.
