And talking of lost episodes...
... I'm sure you've all seen the news by now
*faints*
(I have to say I'm a bad person, because when I saw it go up on my flist, I thought it was a joke because of which two episodes it was...)
Burninated DW:
108 106 episodes.
(I linked to the Radio Times article, because what exactly does the guy mean at the end, hmm?)
ETA: I am slightly out of shock and it is real. So let there be joy: THERE IS MORE WILLIAM HARTNELL AND PATRICK TROUGHTON IN THE WORLD! I have already seen a picture of a Rill!
Vicki!
And, most importantly, more Ben and Polly! ♥. And I would a million times rather see a duff ep than try to listen to it.
*JOY*
Also, since nothing seems impossible now, I shall choose to interpret those last words as "oh, yes, I am on the trail of the Power of the Daleks" because why not?
ETA2: Also what sort of film collector who lives in England - in Hampshire - picks up some Doctor Who and doesn't even think to look on the internet for which episodes are missing? I don't know. I think if I was a film collector I would be checking that sort of thing. (Oh, who cares?)
ETA3: THERE ARE CLIPS ON YOUTUBE. Look at Patrick Troughton. It would be worth it if they'd just found this minute: Underwater Menace clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OTPKZLeO1U
And Galaxy 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSX364eepsk

But, generally, I don't care which eps. *joy*

And seconding *joy*. Without anyone having to take one-way trips to 1969, either. That we know about.

Anyway, lost DW! We know what a Rill looks like & there is more Ben and Polly in the world. Yay.

Indeed there is!

Ithey have found my Doctor Who!)And I'm so disappointed with my flist, you're the first person who posted about it :D

And YES,!!! Let us rejoice for we have back bits of two stories we think are probably pretty duff! (And I mean that most siincerely! Actually, episode 3 of The Underwater Menace is quite fun. But it has Two and Ben and Polly, and that's all I need to know.)

Quite! :-) And if you ever have a bad case of insomnia, there are now some more b&w episodes with which to fight it!

But try something like The Romans, The Aztecs, The War Machines and things. Or watch bit by bit and get slowly addicted to the never-ending adventure. (Each story just cliff-hangers into the next.)
Also: have you seen the clips? Is Patrick Troughton not the best thing ever? Apart from the Chumbley, obviously. :-D
(Sorry. Apparently I have not calmed down overnight.)

And YAYYYYYYYY for more episodes!!!! *does happy dancing*

(Also, yes, I've seen the clips, and OMG Patrick Troughton <3)

Anyway, I have calmed down now (although you probably can't tell from this comment). Patrick Troughton, yes. ♥ "Just one question: why would you want to blow up the world?" And apparently he wears a silly hat as well! The universe knew what we needed to cheer us up, clearly.

Also, Vicki. In both the Romans and The Chase, they start off having a nice holiday/just doing stuff aboard the TARDIS, and Vicki is BORED. She was promised adventure, and she wants it now! ♥
(I promise I will try and calm down, but I cannot hide my scary love for 1960s Who right now. I love all DW, but 1960s Who makes me want to draw hearts round everything.)

I must calm down, or I will pay for it soon, but OH MY. YES. *joy*

I'd love to have "The Crusade" in its entirety...

And Galaxy 4! One day, I would have given in and listened to it, and by all accounts, it would have been painful. Now I can watch Vicki patronising the Doctor and playing with Chumblies instead with apparently nice direction. :-)
So actually, I find I don't CARE what they find, as long as they find it! *sigh* *joy*
*may still be hyper*

And more Vicki and Professor Zarloff = Win. My only niggle is my inner cashman bemoaning the knowledge that they'll have to re-release Lost in Time now and I have to buy the new version!
What's interesting is given the way this was found, that guy who owned them might actually have more - he needs to have help looking through all those spools just in case!

The article says he doesn't have any more. What is intriguing is the rather hopeful comment from the other chap at the end. Does he mean something specific by that? *hopes*
But anyway, 106 is better than 108 whatever happens. I'm so gleeful just to have seen those clips!

It is a wonderful thing - I saw the released clips of the two episodes before I went to bed and whilst they're not A-List who stories it is exciting to have some stuff back - I homestly thought after 7 years since Masterplan Episode 2 that that was probably it for the finds.
And yeah, I would love it if those 'threads' he mentions turn out to yield something (particulrly if that something has Daleks, Cybermen or Yeti in it!).
no subject
YES. I don't think I know what I want any more. I badly want more Ben and Polly, and I'd love the bit in the Highlanders where Polly decides to be an orange seller. Or the Macra Terror! How about episode1 , and we can see Patrick Troughton get tidied and rapidly untidied again? But I don't mind Cybermen/Yeti/Daleks, as long as they also contain Ben & Polly, or the Brig. :-D (Oh, I'll take ANYTHING they find, thanks.)

I would be happy with a great many thing - the Crusade being complete (its my favourite pure historical, though I've yet to see Aztecs), Power or Evil, either of the Yeti stories (particularly Ep2 of Web of Fear with Colonel Lethbridge!), Moonbase or Wheel (first Zoe!)... just the thought that some more stuff could be out there and it's believable for the first time in years is very exciting. :D

I've learnt after yesterday: I will be happy no matter what they find, as long as they find it. Although now that I think about it, I would love to see Polly doing her orange seller thing in The Highlanders...

I think I'm more dizzy over this than previously because it really, really did look as though we'd had our lot. It's hard not to hope again now, but even if 106 is it - ten times better 106 than 108!!
And Ben and Polly! I love them so much, and there's so very little of them left.
