But anyway, yes, your fic really is wonderful and I'm glad I was able to be helpful! (And no need to apologize about additional corrections and etc. because of course it's your fic and you have to do what feels right to you, both before and after the beta. Besides, I do that to my betas too. *g*)

Aw, thanks. And it was helpful! :-) Heh. And apparently Mrs Gaskell used to do it to Charles Dickens when he edited her for the periodicals, and it drove him up the wall! We writers, we're a stubborn lot. No, I took most of your changes - there were just an odd few bits where it sounded wrong when it was right, because of the 'voice', and a couple more where I'd used the right word, but obviously not made the context clear enough, so had to correct other bits. (I always know what I mean, :lol:).
Yes, I was absolutely sure it was her for lots of reasons, and then she was so sneaky and left a review for it! I knew
ETA: I was kind of holding my breath all last Sat, because my recipient didn't comment (I noticed when attempting some stalking myself that she hadn't commented on any other gift fic she'd had, so I wasn't too surprised), but then I got a couple of reviews - and even a rec, from a really good Buffy writer. (I was so excited when that happened. I nearly PMed you, because I couldn't tell anyone else!) But, phew, and who knows, maybe she liked it, despite her aversion to comments? What can you do?
