1. My family have gone home now. I saw them intermittently, but it was very nice. I drew several castles for my nephew and niece to colour, and Middle Sis was here for half the day yesterday before she got the train, did a massive lot of cleaning, and then thanked me for the fun she'd had before she left. Hopefully, I won't take too long to recover.


2. hetswap noms are open and I am reminding myself that doing exchanges in summer is not a good idea, but I had fun with that one when it ran before (in Feb/Mar/April time!) and now it allows poly and art/vids/podfic, too. I shall probably nominate but be stern with myself unless I am inspired to write a thing straight off, because I always forget just how much my PC time can be curtailed in summer. (Hetswap is usually tiny enough that gaming the system is possible, so that can work.) After all, it's not as I can write Librarian/Demon more than once in a lifetime, and I can write for paranoidangel any time I feel like it, even if, it's true, I can't demand that she write for me any time I like. ;-p*


3. A new bingo that looks like fun - crossoverbingo! Am also trying to resist that...

I saw hetswap nominations were open and I want to do it, but most of the writing time is during tennis/when it could be too hot to do anything, plus I'm too busy with learning programming languages to do writing as well (I'm pretty much taking a year off from writing except for Yuletide and maybe Remix).

I will enjoy reading the fic from it, though. And maybe we can continue to get matched with each other next year :)

Summer is just an inconvenient time! I doubt I'll do it, either, but I think I'll nominate and hedge my bets at this point just in case.

She is a star and I love her. She was so inspired by cleaning my house she felt she might go off and clean her own oven today. :-D

Crossover bingo looks like great fun! I need to get myself out of this weird writing whatever I'm in, though, before I do anything else - hc_bingo starts again soon, and I'm still so near on that border bingo for genprompt_bingo...

Looking at the requests and tailoring your offers so you match that person! I don't usually try to do it, but sometimes small exchanges are so small that I have to tailor my offers to try and allow some measure of surprise in, so I can do the reverse at need. :-D

Oh, I've definitely withdrawn offers to write in fandoms when I've seen that the only person requesting it wants something I'd have a hard time (or not have fun) writing, and I've added fandoms when i've seen something that hadn't occurred to me but sounds fun.
