Just Married Reveals!

So, in other writing news, both my treat recip and the rainbowfic mod turned up to comment and make my day at exactly the same time a couple of days ago. (Why do things all come together when they weren't at all connected?) So then I was happy.

But justmarriedexchange has now had author reveals and so here is what I wrote - a gift and a treat, both in Doctor Who.

I got senmut as my recip, which was good fun - a whole bunch of relationship tags that I liked to choose from and also they were dizzyingly rash enough to request Any Tag. (You will not be surprised to learn that given the choice of any tag in the tagset, they therefore immediately got a variant of Accidental Marriage off me, ahem, ahem.)

Anyway, I had a nice, manageable idea for Three/Brig/Liz and I do love s7 so much... and then it just grew! How did it grow? But it was also a really lovely fic to have living in my head and I'm still really pleased with how it came out and I liked the idea of the alien world involved as well.

(I could have done Five/Tegan for the gift, but this way in theory I could have both worlds. And also my idea for my gift was really not that long or anything... lol) Which means I would have liked to maybe have added a little more to this one, but hopefully it's fine and fun(ny) and sweet as it is, and omg, people not me requested Five/Tegan. More than one even! 0_o

Anyway, that was fun, and I seem to have read most of my flist's stories while we were all undercover! (I guessed lurking_latinist - thank you for the treat!! - and astrogirl, and at least suspected senmut, but I'm now laughing that I completely failed to recognise paranoidangel. Because I should always suspect paranoidangel by this time...)

But it was fun, even with that long wait in the middle! (Let's not do that part again.) And thanks as ever to persiflage_1 who beta-ed them both for me. <3

I am still giggling a little. You treated the recip I wrote for, and with the exact same pairing. And it was very much the tumblr meme of TWO CAKES because it meant I got to read something I didn't write for a pairing I enjoy!

And my fic was just such a lovely gift and I am still rolling around in joy like a cat with nip.

Well, I have read quite a bit of your fic now, and it seemed like your style - and, if I'm perfectly honest, I put those particular prompts right back in from last time I did it pretty much on the basis that I now knew someone taking part who might also like them.

Yes, I was fully reconciled, this time, to the fact that my identity was probably even more blindingly obvious than usual. But I am quite proud of the fact that I did finally guess you in return this year! (Wondering whether you'd written it, because I know how fond you are of those particular characters, is probably what made me give it a shot despite not being sure how I felt about the OT3 in question, and of course I ended up being very glad to have done so.) And I also correctly and quite confidently guessed the author of one of my own gifts. Which is a new record for me! Too often even if I do have a thought about who might have written what, I turn out to be wrong. :)

Aww, thank you! (again). I do love them all, and S7, and I already ship Brig/Liz a lot and it's not as if Liz/Three isn't right there anyway if you want it, and well... I had an flister who was very into it and desperate for more content and I ended up being all, WELL, actually, this really works?

I'd have been even less subtle on tumblr if it hadn't been summer, because there would have been gifs of Silurians quite a lot, but it was summer, so I was just unsubtle by wailing in my usual "I'm too ill for this!" drama llama impression. (I mean, I was too ill for it, but it is better to be dreaming of alien worlds in the meantime.)

Yea, we possibly might have given each other a bit of a hint there! But sometimes you do just need to moan to someone about things like how much fic you seem to be writing for how soon a deadline. And for all of that, I think we both end up doing pretty well!

It's been so long since we've both done an exchange like this I'd forgotten to even look for you! But I do think you did pull off something different, too, yes. I loved your blue bird of happiness idea! That was such a great concept for a DW thing. Funny, but also revealing of Missy's feeling and actually potentially genuinely really creepy in their effects, too.
