And now I can talk again, I can show my ridiculous but awesome crossover tag that I nominated: "Sheev Palpatine (SW Prequels) & Servalan (Blake's 7).
(I may have done several like it, but I feel that one was clearly the best/most terrifying.)

(But I am not writing Palpatine and Servalan. That is utterly terrifying. :))

Thank you. *bows*
I don't expect anyone to write the random B7/SW crossover tags I put in, but they gave me great joy thinking of the most interesting combinations.
ETA: Also, yay! Do it!

I really do think I'm gonna do it. As usual, I was too lazy to participate in nominations, but I see a surprising number of fandoms I could write and/or would be happy to request. Or maybe it's not surprising; I've always loved stuff set in space.
One thing I'm wondering about, though, because I haven't been able to find clarification in the comm. The idea is that you can write/request anything as long as the fandom has a spacey element, right, not that the stories themselves have to focus on space exploration themes the way Past Imperfect focuses on on time travel themes? I'm probably good with either, but it's nice to know what I'm getting into.

It is!
And, yay, yes, do it! And I don't know the answer to that question, either, this being my first time - it seems as long as it's set on some other planet, or has aliens, or is in space, or at NASa, or something, it's fine? So, not the fandom to request a historical AU or mundane AU or something. (I mean, I know how love your other setting AUs! ;-p) BUt you could always double check with the mod if you were thinking of anything specific.

And I think you're right. If I want to request, say, shippy fic with people who live on a spaceship and one of whom is an alien -- which, um, yes, I do -- I can't imagine that's a problem at all.

(Do you also possibly want to request or offer stuff about an alien who travels in space and time in a police box?)
I am requesting stuff that happens on planets in this galaxy in a dystopian future and also one far far away! One or two of them are also aliens. Also Elements, but space related. :-D (Although when Sapphire is asked if she's an alien, she says, "Only in the non-terrestrial sense," so...)

I saw that discussion, looking through the admin posts. They barely even questioned it, did they? So, yeah, it seems like there's a pretty broad scope.
(I also found the highly detailed discussion about whether Good Omens might qualify weirdly hilarious. There's a random alien in that one scene that might or might not actually exist! They talk about running off to Alpha Centauri! Crowley helped make a nebula once! Despite the vast weight of all that evidence, I really can't argue against the decision to leave it out. Even if I would happily read/write all the Good Omens space fic. :))

I do and I will! The only question is can I narrow down those fifty possible tags at all.

I know, I was having to be both sides of the argument, so then I just went with it. I flit between whether or not that was really justified, but then again, I think it does fit within their rather wide definition, so I'm not going to feel bad.

To be fair, though, it probably wouldn't be much less justified than S&S!!
