Most of these have probably been posted here before, although not the retro_icontest The7Days challenge to icon seven different angles from the last seven things you watched. The angles were above, below, left, right, back, front, artist's choice. Plus, all the icons I made recently to complete 100fandomicons and retro_icontest's Island Rumble round, making icons from the same two screencaps & some alts.

Thank you! <3 And, yes, there are a few cast crossovers with Lost and OUaT, particularly Emilie de Ravin. It was made by the same showrunners, so there are several Lost in-jokes in the show - particularly any time you see numbers prominently, they tend to use the big mystery numbers from Lost. I watched it a few years ago, and it was fun to notice that after.

Yes, it is! It's also what the episode "The Woman Who Lived" is loosely based on as well.

I just need you to know that I watched a film with Ivor Novello in it and went straight on to listen to the soundtrack of Gosford Park.

Aw, well, of course! <3 Which film was it? Was it good? (I have only watched one Ivor Novello film, which was not particularly good - it was just one of my random Ealing Rarities, which always came 4 per disc set - although I enjoyed it nevertheless for several reasons, including the side not of my first indication of just how good JN's GP performance was. I definitely should watch one that's not a random Ealing Rarity of dubious quality some time!)

It was Hitchcock's The Lodger (1927) and unfortunately it was amazing; now it has to take a number to be written about with everything else I am behind on! What was the Ealing rarity?

Well, I am sorry there's a queue, and that the reason for that is deeply frustrating - but I don't think even so you should be too sorry to have another amazing film to your life. I had heard of that one (even me)!

What was the Ealing rarity?

Autumn Crocus (1934)! It was pretty bad in terms of the plot, with a schoolteacher having a random and unconvincing 24 hour tragic love affair with a middle aged married Ivor Novello in Lederhosen, but they actually sent a film crew out to the Tirol, and as someone who's been addicted to the Chalet School series forever, it was FASCINATING, like time travel, seeing contemporary views of everything Elinor described so lovingly, over and over. (The CS series was written by a writer & schoolteacher who had been on holiday to the Tirol and come back with the idea for using it for a school series.)

Also Esme Church as Edith was fab. I made gifs of when she declared her undying love to the heroine. idk if I still have those, they were on the old tumblr I deleted.

So, basically, fairly naff overall, but fab for CS addicts.

I have rejoiced in the existence of extremely mediocre noir because of the time travel of its location photography, so I understand! I am glad the production went to the trouble of the actual Tirol.

Of the ones I hadn't seen before, the most striking is the woman in the red dress (9/10). I also really like 14, 17, and 21.
