Tegan / Five Fic

Sometimes I ship...
Here are my Tegan / Five stories:
I'm not a big shipper, but why else is Tegan walking around with her heart on her sleeve and the Doctor both panicking and running as hard as possible? Well, when he's not behaving in a way that means he might as well go round pulling her pigtails. Honestly. Plus, it's huge fun to write them like this. Which is all the excuse anyone ever needs.
Unwanted:

In which Tegan's in a bad mood, Turlough says too much and the Doctor has to kiss the girl to save the day.
(All right, so the setting's not totally original *looks at the ceiling and mutters something about Red Dwarf* but a little bit of a fairytale, unromantic romantic story that was a lot of fun to do).
Emptiness

The Doctor and Tegan are in a strange house without their memories.
(Less cheerful than the other and similar, so I look on them as an either/or pairing. I wish I could have done something better with Turlough's exposition-filled sections, but they couldn't go in the house scenes. If I find a way, I'll alter it.)
*
Romance in the Round.
It began in Banned Valentines when the Doctor and Tegan discover their true feelings on Valentine's Day. Which has been banned in the Round as it only ever causes trouble, arguments and horrible murders. Plus, nobody's about to give them any space or even believe them.

She folded her arms. "That's a pretty feeble excuse, when all I'm
asking is: couldn't you have been nicer if you didn't really hate me?"
"I - I liked you too much," he confessed, partly out of desperation.
"That's what I'm trying to say! There was no chance - no hope - had
to keep that hidden -."
Tegan stared at him in shock.
"And it's not as if you think much of me," he continued hastily.
"You've made that plain enough!"
She said weakly, "You were ignoring me! Why d'you think I was so
crabby?"
There was a moment of mutual panic in the TARDIS.
"If this is some kind of wind up -," began Tegan warily.
The fifth Doctor was red. "I can assure you, it's not. I've never
been more serious!" Then he coughed and said, "Er. What do we do
next?"
The sequel Interference (in which Turlough causes trouble and the Master plays Cupid) I'm much happier with. The Doctor's not talking to Tegan and there's trouble with a plot, a PLOT hole, the Master and Turlough. And a coda with some vegetable jokes. (I know. I'm mad.)

The Doctor marched into the Round unwillingly. Nyssa's words would
keep coming back to him and he was fair-minded enough to admit that he
hadn't actually given Tegan a chance to explain. But he'd rather have
fixed the weak link in the fault locator.
He saw Turlough and sat down beside him, noting the full glass in
front of him. "Where is she?"
"Well, how do I know?" he returned, still nursing a damaged nose.
The Doctor began, ever so slightly, to cheer up. "Turlough, why did
she hit you?"
(I'll leave Geraint and Enid for when I start tackling the wonderful idea of Storytime...)
