I'm very tired (again) but I should mention [community profile] fandomtrees, which went live all of 3 days ago. Under mine, I found:

* 3 Janeway icons from [personal profile] kingstoken

* [personal profile] liadt gave me some actual non-blurry pics of James Maxwell in the burninated Nigel Kneale TV play The Road here and also lovely fanart for the coffee shop bit of the AU Meme for Silver (& Liz Shaw).

* A lovely selection box of Blake's 7 icons from [personal profile] zephron1, so I need to decide which one(s) to use. I think I must find space for the Vila & Servalan one at the very least!

* and last but by no means least, [personal profile] hamsterwoman made me some great B7 quote icons in revenge repayment for me being the cause of them watching it earlier this year.

So, it was good fun. I did not manage to do much, but I did make [personal profile] zephron1 some Gan & Vila icons and recced some happy vids for, er, someone else. (I'm sorry, it was three days ago and I was randomly looking through the recs tag at the last minute for someone I could make a rec list for. I would know the entry again if I saw it!)
thisbluespirit: (s&s)
So, as I said, [community profile] fandom_stocking went live and I had a lot of lovely things in mine!

I had some gifs, recs, puzzles, and best wishes, but also fab Brig/Liz fanart from [profile] paynesgray, and a glorious Bayeux Tapestry style illustration for We'll Burn That Barn When We Come To It by [personal profile] liadt. (If you enjoyed the fic, you really want to see the art!!)

Plus, lovely Jonathan Creek icons from [personal profile] tarlanx.

And in terms of fic, I was underservedly lucky - just look at all these, and they were all great in very different ways! *flails about*

more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, PG by [personal profile] rain_sleet_snow (The Quiet Gentleman/The Grand Sophy, five times fic, with Drusilla, Sophy and supernatural goings on.)

The rest were all on AO3 so I will share the links for your convenience. I recommend them all very much indeed! I am still all overcome.

I'm feeling a little better (ish, more maybe feeling better about not feeling better?) but I haven't been posting so much, as I've still been tired. Also some of the things I would talk about are Yuletide research and things. (Isn't it always the way?)

But my assignment now has words in my notebook! Several pages of them, even. They need to get out of there and onto the computer, but, all being well(ish), that should be okay at this point. I have mostly defeated the complicated overlong treat, I think.

Anyway, some things:

* [community profile] fandom_stocking has opened for sign-ups! Just fill out a form, get a 'stocking' hung up, and people will put nice fannish bits & bobs in it. You can put nice things in other people's too. It's almost guaranteed not to open on time, but it's usually a lot of fun.

* [community profile] genprompt_bingo is opening for Round 15! I still have a Round 14 card I'm working on, but it's one of my favourites. (The prompts are gen, but the fills can be shippy or gen or whatever as you please.)

In the meantime, I have mostly been amusing myself when tired by making pretty S&S element-things for tumblr, which I think helped on the being more cheerful front. Either that or despairing a lot on Weds, or both, most probably.
thisbluespirit: (s&s - silver)
As I said, it seems to be the week for making progress on WIPs round here, and I have finally made sufficient progress on this [community profile] fandom_stocking 2015 gift for [personal profile] kaffy_r and [personal profile] purplecat that I can post Chapter Two (which has, in essence, been finished for a long while).

(I'm not sure how quickly the rest will follow, given summer, but it will shortly be done in rough and then it's only a matter of typing up and editing, so barring me being extra ill, it should be done before the end of autumn. \o/)

When the Lights Go Out (4988 words) by lost_spook
Chapters: 2/5
Fandom: Sapphire and Steel
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Sapphire (S&S), Steel, Copper (S&S), Original Characters
Additional Tags: Brother-Sister Relationships, 1920s, Ghosts, Supernatural Elements, Character Death, seances, Mentions of World War I, References to Suicide
Summary: It seemed like such a lark, to hold a séance in a haunted house, but what human can bargain with time or death - or even Elements?
thisbluespirit: (s&s - silver)
I did manage to do some small things for [community profile] fandom_stocking at least (literally small - all icons and drabbles, saving one recs list!), but as ever, I have pulled out far more than I put in, which seems unfair. Here are my very lovely gifts:

* A great little multi-Element S&S fic: Narwhals by [personal profile] kaffy_r.

* Coffee Break by [personal profile] paynesgrey, ficlet featuring Kathryn Janeway and her actual true love - coffee.

* A lovely Snow and Regina piece Sisters of the Heart by [personal profile] ariestess

* Assignment 3 1/2 by [personal profile] swordznsorcery - excellent Christmassy S&S fic that also happens to be a crossover with The Talisman Ring.

* [personal profile] liadt drew me Shadow of the Tower art which made me go awwww a lot (and you can totally see the curtain texture of the BBC costumes in it, too).

* [personal profile] john_amend_all wrote me a fab little Adam Adamant Lives! crossover with DW (Bill/Ace) here

* my absurdly practical robin by [personal profile] rain_sleet_snow, which is five times fic for Drusilla from The Quiet Gentleman, one of my favourite Heyer characters, and it's also lovely.

Plus, some greetings and pics and a very tantalising IOU from [personal profile] purplecat!

Anyway, I loved going through it all so much. People are very kind. <3
thisbluespirit: (s&s - silver)
[community profile] snowflake_challenge will be happening again, from tomorrow:

Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner 2018

And [community profile] chocolateboxcomm ("a low pressure, low commitment multifandom gift exchange run on AO3") has just finished taking nominations and is about to start sign-ups tomorrow.

[community profile] iconthat (a low level, fun icon comm) has its latest challenge up.

And [community profile] fandom_stocking is still full of stockings to stuff with small fannish gifts of all kinds, from icons to recs to fic to recipes!

(I'm going to try and remember to make more posts about what's going on, so here's a start to that, or a restart rather.)
thisbluespirit: (yuletide)
Some things going on at the moment:

Sign-ups are open (till Dec 15th) at [community profile] fandom_stocking. (You fill in the form with fannish likes etc., the mod posts a 'stocking' post for you, and everyone fills everybody else's in the comments, and then reveal will be delayed by at least a week while the mod has their annual migraine.) It's very low-key and fun.

[community profile] genprompt_bingo is open for Round 13! There are no deadlines & interesting prompts with a lot of options, which is cool. (I'm still plugging away at my Round 11 card from last year...) No festive connections of any sort, and all fanworks are welcome. (The prompts are gen; the fills can be any rating/ship/whatever you choose.)

The full list of Yuletide Requests have been up for a while, if anyone's interested in treating! (No sign-ups are needed for treating, no letters, nothing but being seized by a shiny prompt and gifting someone a fic in a tiny fandom of their heart. Well, you'll need an AO3 account, of course.)

(I defaulted, btw. Looking again at my fic only proved that I still cry at the thought of attempting to do anything with it, and so there was only one thing to do. Here's hoping my author is doing okay, and I shall try and be far more careful about what fandoms I sign up for next time.)

[community profile] iconthat (which is a really fun icon challenge comm) is having an Icon Secret Santa (which I think is going to be run like a Fandom Stocking thing, not an exchange & probably even more unofficial and low-key.
thisbluespirit: (Default)
Three more of my [community profile] fandom_stocking gifts have now been posted to AO3, so here are the links - I recommend them all and some are definitely relevant to other flisters' interests!

Making Progress by Cordeliadelayne (Spooks, Harry/Ruth. G, 368 words.)

Summary: Worried about motherhood, Sophy turns to the most sensible woman of her acquaintance for reinforcements.
thisbluespirit: (s&s - silver)
... and of course, this is why I can never resist [community profile] fandom_stocking after all, because, lo, I have a stocking and it is full of shiny things!

AAL!, Doctor Who, S&S, Georgette Heyer, Dracula (TV 1968) fic under the cut )

And in my stocking, in addition to some kind greetings, friendly good wishes, and IOUs, I have:

* a great little Ruth/Harry ficlet (Spooks) by [personal profile] cordeliadelayne

* one of Liadt's amazingly funny and adorable pics (which is still making me giggle far too much whenever I look at it.)

* Superior Sense, a Georgette Heyer crossover with Sophy and Drusilla, which is lovely, by [personal profile] rain_sleet_snow

* actual fab Press Gang Spike/Lynda + alien invasion fic from [personal profile] swordznsorcery, amazing!! (Watch out for the alarming gif, too. ;-D)

* and, lastly, a couple of very nice S&S icons by [personal profile] tarlanx.

(And I did make things; they were just very nearly all graphics and odd bits and pieces, but me saying that I wasn't doing things for it was actually untrue. I just wasn't writing, but words aren't the only form of creativity!)
thisbluespirit: (dw - one)
1. I am now an impatient Yuletider, waiting to have a present to shake! (Where O where is my fic; it's not as if the Deadline is yet to come and I'm being unreasonable! Oh, wait, yes I am...) I am also waiting for two other people to have gifts to I can post their treats. (Which technically I can do anyway, one way or the other, but I'll wait at least a bit longer now. And one of them is not yet typed up and may not work anyway - scary fandom is scary! But shiny prompt is shiny, so shiny...)

2. I was thinking about [livejournal.com profile] dw_allsorts a while ago and wondering, for various reasons, about opening it up to be just table-claiming and not claiming for a specific person/pairing/era, and then I thought that it has tiny prompt tables (3-20 prompts depending) and so that's part of the point. But then I thought about adding in an extra option to liven things up and so now you can claim a theme instead if you wish! (So, say "historicals" or "Villains" or a trope you like or "Crossovers" or "Episode Tags" or "Favourite Pairings"). I am ridiculously pleased with this idea and now want to claim a further table. I think one could go well with my [community profile] genprompt_bingo table! I'm amused at myself; I've finally worked out how to make my own comm more exciting to me. Anyway, I made a post at the comm for that and a couple of other things.

It's been a while since I've mentioned it, so *pimps at the worst time of the year* : [livejournal.com profile] dw_allsorts is a low-pressure mini-prompt table community for Doctor Who (of all flavours, including spin-offs). All fanworks are welcome as fills and minimums are pretty minimal! Tables come in sets of 3,6,9,12,15 & 20; you can sign up for up to two claims at a time and you can claim any Character, Pairing, Era, Spin-Off, or Theme that you wish. There are no actual deadlines, but if your first fanwork doesn't appear within three months of signing up, your claim will be removed from the list as inactive, but you can always renew it or pick it up again at any time. People can also suggest new prompt tables if they have ideas. Once you complete your claim, you get a banner of variable quality as made by me (except if you are me, because I draw the line at making myself banners). All the details are here if you want to know more.

3. I have a [community profile] fandom_stocking hung up here, should anyone be interested. (Sign-ups are now over and the stockings are gradually being hung up. I am bookmarking stockings and vaguely hoping that I'll be able to make at least the odd icon here and there, post-Yuletide writing, post-being away etc. etc. and dreaming of ficlets. Who knows?)
thisbluespirit: (Default)
1. [community profile] fandom_stocking is open for sign ups till the 14th! (I suppose at some point, I should do a sign-up for it.)

2. And I realised that [community profile] genprompt_bingo have no deadlines and was tempted into getting a card. Bingos, always so hard to resist, look:

Card under cut )
thisbluespirit: (Default)
I actually managed to write some things for [community profile] fandom_stocking myself! I didn't get to as many people as I wanted, but that's always the way. I also managed a handful of icons and one or two other small bits, but here's the fic:

6 fics in Doctor Who, Adam Adamant Lives!, Blake's 7, & Georgette Heyer )

I also started a joint S&S fic for [personal profile] kaffy_r and [personal profile] annariel, but it got too long to be attempted for Fandom Stocking, so I'm going to work on it - it's at 2000 words now and has a better plot outline than it did when I posted it, so I'm hopeful, but it may take me a while yet.
thisbluespirit: (s&s - silver)
[community profile] fandom_stocking went live some time last night, so I have a whole stocking full of goodies!

I had three marvellous fics that were also posted to AO3, (so I'm using the handy links feature) - first up, two Sapphire and Steel fics, which both featured Silver and Liz, first from [personal profile] annariel:

Tracking the Weather (589 words) by Annariel
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Sapphire and Steel, Doctor Who (1963)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Liz Shaw (Doctor Who), Silver (S&S)
Summary: Aircraft and ships are vanishing in the wake of the Hurricane. More than seem natural.

And a wonderful, long fic from [personal profile] kaffy_r, too:

A Vein of Silver (4083 words) by kaffyrutsky
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Doctor Who, Doctor Who (1963), Sapphire and Steel
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Liz Shaw & Silver
Characters: Silver (S&S), Liz Shaw (Doctor Who), Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, Third Doctor, The Doctor's TARDIS
Additional Tags: Strangers, Uneasy Allies, Fighting Time
Summary: Let the wall be built, the stranger said; Dr. Liz Shaw considers her options in a laboratory where something's gone wrong with Time.

Plus, amazingly, more Dracula (1968) fic from [personal profile] john_amend_all! I was just thinking that my lovely Yuletide gift had not in any way stopped me wanting MOAR FIC (well, you know, more than NONE or now, one) for this Dracula, and hey presto, now there's a lovely Lucy/Mina AU:

Out for the Count (972 words) by JohnAmendAll
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Dracula (TV 1968)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Mina Harker/Lucy Weston
Characters: Mina Harker, Lucy Weston, John Seward
Additional Tags: Stealth Crossover, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Fluff, Fix-It
Summary: Lucy has been saved from the Count, and wishes to make her own desires known.

But that wasn't all... First Liadtbunny found me some Barbara Murray stuff and then, surreally, apparently James Maxwell turned up on her Avengers extras pretending to be Steed for a bit and she has the screencaps to prove it. (That James Maxwell gets everywhere...!) Anyway, I was highly amused, because, you know, Steed if he was awkwardly tall, slightly shifty and didn't know what to say to people at parties.

I had some pretty icons from Scripsi, some sweet best wishes/New Year's greetings, a rec, an IOU for Chalet School fic of some kind (v exciting!), and a lovely little A Quiet Gentleman/The Grand Sophy crossover by [personal profile] rain_sleet_snow.

I also had some fab Adam Adamant Lives! gifs from Swordznsorcery, so have a few of them under the cut:Gifs )

I did manage to do a bit more on the stocking-stuffing myself than last year, which was good! I'll post those in another post sometime. I didn't get to very many people, though - a rather random eight or so, including (ironically) an IOU for Chalet School fic and a joint S&S WIP (that I am at least pretty sure is going to get completed now as it has a much better scribbled out plan than it did when I posted the beginning).
thisbluespirit: (s&s - ot3)
Well, it did go live, and even though I think it may have been quieter than some years, I got rather a lot of nice things in my stocking!

[personal profile] liadt wrote me Public Eye fic, If I had a Million Pounds and posted a small picspam of James Maxwell from a thing called The Prison. (It looks like a great source for if I wanted Copper-related pics of him.) I also had a picspam from [personal profile] dunderklumpen, who went to all the trouble of finding pics of my random favourite old TV actors for me here.

Clocket made me a brilliant bit of art of Frank Marker; [personal profile] finisterre made me some old TV icons & [personal profile] rosied found me a link to a huge list of genealogy blogs, so I should be able to find something interesting in there.

Also there was more fic! It's been a bumper holiday season for Sapphire & Steel, that's for certain.

I had The Bright Side of Time (Silver, Sapphire, the TARDIS, Clara & Twelve) by [personal profile] kaffy_r, Something Hungry Under the Stone (Silver) by [personal profile] annariel, and Just Passing Through (Silver/Liz) by [personal profile] john_amend_all.

Thank you, everyone! ♥

I did manage to write three little ficlets, as follows under the cut, but I'm sorry I couldn't do more!

Ficlets in New Tricks, OUaT & Historical RPF )
thisbluespirit: (s&s - silver)
(Nearly done with the [community profile] snowflake_challenge!)

Day 10:
In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts.

Even though I've waited for well over a month, this time of the year is the worst for doing this. I just took part in Yuletide! And [community profile] fandom_stocking!! I had so many marvellous gifts, even in some of my completely obscure things and it was wonderful (♥) But, well, the meme dictates, and happy-making fannish things are nice, and I'm tired again, so here we are...

But really, my fandom stocking entry is pretty much my wishlist. Especially all the impossibly obscure bits at the end. Which I know nobody knows and all that, but still. And that's more than three things. Whoops.

My heart yearns for impossible things. (Isn't that just the truth? ;-D)

How about everyone else? What impossible fannish things do you want to see? Let's all be unreasonable together...

ETA: That was cheating, really wasn't it? I'll put some effort into it:

1. I could really use some Lynda Day in my life right now. Well, when don't you?

2. Some sort of mild Mary/Louisa or Mary & Louisa from Duchess of Duke Street. (I cannot write it, but I would love to read it.)

3. Someone to talk to about Public Eye S4 and "The Man Who Said Sorry". (Though said person is not allowed to dislike Mrs Mortimer. That would be sad. Maybe best not, then.)

4. I feel like Heroes of the Revolution is a real thing now. There should be fanfic for it/a fanmix/something... (Anyone feel like researching energy crises or something? ;-D I know, I know, that's the bit I'm supposed to go off and do. *sheepish*)

Oh, that was more than three. *cough* At least one of them was sort of possibly even achievable! *is proud of self*

There. I still want to know everybody else's impossible wishes, though...
thisbluespirit: (spooks - ruth!)
And, as I said, I also made some things for people:

Falling From A Cloud for [personal profile] akashasheiress (Doctor Who, Ben Jackson/Polly Wright, 346 words. Also a 500 prompts ficlet.)

9 Avengers Icons for [personal profile] glinda (Emma Peel, John Steed.) (Liadt sent me some Avengers! I have only watched 1 episode, but once I've watched more, more icons will happen because it was heaps of fun to play with.)

The Gods Walk Among Us for [personal profile] kaffy_r (Doctor Who, Ian & Barbara, Drabble.)

Dance of A Lifetime for [personal profile] azarsuerte (Doctor Who, Five/Clara, 169 words. One of the random drabbles - the poetry line was "and the last stroke of midnight dies").

13 Silmarillion icons for [personal profile] moetushie (Mostly from Ted Naismith images.)

13 The Good Life icons for [personal profile] ozqueen (Tom, Barbara, Margo & Jerry and all combinations thereof.)

Radical Actions for [personal profile] liadt (Er. The Fight Against Slavery, Wilberforce/Pitt cake!fic drabble. Yes. /o\)

The Man Who Cried Lion for eve11 (Doctor Who, Six, Evelyn, 329 words. Poetry line: rushed out onto the fire escape screaming Lion! Lion!)

some lovely perilous thing for [personal profile] ein_papier (Once Upon A Time, Belle/Rumplestiltskin, Drabble. Poetry line as the title "some lovely perilous thing".)

... that was more than it seemed like at the time. :-)

(Obviously, icons made as gifts are not for snagging unless the recipient is okay with that.)
thisbluespirit: (spooks - ruth!)
I'm sorry, I ended up being tired all the time and not posting. Anyhow, [community profile] fandom_stocking went live yesterday and I had some lovely things in my stocking, left me by some very, very kind people.

You can find all the goodies here and, my, they are marvellous! I had three Sapphire and Steel fics and a Blake's 7/Sapphire and Steel crossover from [personal profile] annariel, [personal profile] amaresu, [personal profile] kaffy_r and [personal profile] swordznsorcery. They are all great and they all have Silver in them. *is very happy*

There were also good wishes and some beautiful graphics from people, including a Sapphire and Steel wallpaper, some gorgeous icons of Nicola Walker as Ruth Evershed in Spooks from [personal profile] dreamer_98. (I may not mention Spooks so often, but my love for Ruth will never die.) I am using one now (on Dreamwidth). Over on LJ, I shall attempt to edit the entry and use the Public Eye one made for me by eve11, who even went Googling Alfred Burke images to make icons for me. (♥)

[personal profile] liadt also took pity on me in my obscurity and wrote me a Public Eye/Avengers (TV) crossover, in which Frank Marker meets two eccentrics in search of champagne in a dark alleyway. And also Dark Towers fic! (I can't explain again. Click on the Look and Read tag on this entry if you're feeling brave and possibly ready to pause and read things slowly at need.)

Doctor Who was not forgotten, either, as I had a great drabble from [personal profile] john_amend_all, and a lovely ficlet from [personal profile] cosmic_llin, both of which featured Tegan.

Not actually in my stocking, but tucked away on AO3, I had two excellent Heyer drabbles from [profile] desert_vixen (Excitement and Notes. The first is my favourite, I have to admit, because it's beautifully evil.)

I also wrote some things, and made some icons, but I shall have to find them all again and make another post, I think. I should say that I was very tired and ended up with this Desperate Drabbling plan, in which I wrote down all the characters/pairings from requests I might be able to do and randomly generated poetry prompts, matched them up and attempted a drabble until I ran out of steam. Also some icons. But it did end up a bit random as to who actually got things and who didn't. Still, it was better than nobody getting anything. (Well, unless it wasn't, but let's hope otherwise!)

Anyway, I loved everything, so thanks to everyone who was kind enough to stuff things in my stocking: ♥ ♥ ♥

[community profile] fandom_stocking went live yesterday, and I had so many nice things in my stocking! Thanks so much to everyone who left anything there for me. ♥ Anyone liking the sound of any of the following should go check it out. (Yes, I am displaying the contents of my stocking for you all...)

* I got TWO sets of David Collings gifs. Yes, really! \o/ I did ask, but I didn't think anyone would actually make me any. (I'll see about putting one or maybe two on the LJ version of this post, but I'm feeling a bit too lazy for Photobucket just now). They were made v kindly for me by [personal profile] brooms and [personal profile] liadt. ♥ ♥ ♥

* A tiny-but-cute Lorne & Fred ficlet (Ats) from [personal profile] yhlee

* A Mary Dove/Inspector Neele drabble from [personal profile] john_amend_all (Miss Marple, A Pocketful of Rye, and, um, yes, it's my fault. It's all to do with me wanting professional thief/detective and ITV casting Matthew Macfadyen and then sticking meticulously to the book, when the BBC 1980s version got the shippy vibe. Damn TV makers are so contrary.)

* [personal profile] kaffy_r wrote me a wonderful Sapphire and Steel fic Green, Red and Gold, and Blue Follows

* [profile] ladymercury10 left me a very tempting-looking set of Doctor who recs

* [personal profile] cosmic_llin wrote me a lovely Sarah & Harry ficlet. (Sometimes Harry is much more practical than the Doctor, after all.)

* A beautiful little set of Blake's 7 icons from [personal profile] usuallyhats

* An IOU for West Wing fic from [personal profile] feathermoon_scarletsky

* [personal profile] dbskyler gave me some vid links, and you should check them out but especially the adorable penguin one.

* Summer Afternoon Blues by [personal profile] glinda, another AtS ficlet, this one about Lorne and the first time he heard music and it's just gorgeous and if anyone round here also knows Angel, do take a look.

* Seven-and-Ace fic by [personal profile] clocketpatch, which is every bit as wonderful as you would suppose and I'm delighted.

* And last (but absolutely not least, since it contained infinity) - Unccountable Infinities from [personal profile] eve11 and Eight and Charley ficlet, which answered my first first Straybunnies prompt for the two of them investigating something really surreal. And Eight and Charley! *joy*

*plus various good wishes and season greetings from kind folks. Oh! And intriguingly, a promise for some David Collings graphics at some point this week from [personal profile] weaselett.

So that was pretty amazing and thanks again to everyone. I did manage to write and make some bits and bobs for other people, too. I (rather belatedly yesterday evening, sorry about that) put them in the AO3 collection as well, so I'll put up another post with the fics in sometime soon. (There were also a few graphics/icons and recs, but they were all pretty specific for the recipients.)

(You will get 1 later today...)

Day Three asks you to interact with or friend someone new. I've asked someone to friend me, so that's done. Hopefully they won't run away. Day 4 is to post a fannish wishlist in your journal.

Well, even aside from that seeming greedy so soon after such a wonderful Yuletide, I have a [community profile] fandom_stocking hanging up here already, which is pretty much that. So there you go. My fannish wishlist.

(Besides, they say "no matter how unreasonable". I don't think they even begin to suspect how unreasonable my unreasonable would be after all my old TV watching of late, or how much David Collings it might involve, depending on my mood. Or that I'd want someone to write the ending or some Post-War fic for Enemy at the Door. So. Let's not go there.)

I am a little better, but finding it oddly difficult (I get all tearful, it's v silly) to do some of the things that are usually the easier things. So forgive me if I don't reply/catch up just yet. I might post something later, see how that goes. (I am like a Blue Peter presenter these days, I seem to always have several Things I Made Earlier to hand).

Anyway, something more cheerful - I have a [community profile] fandom_stocking for the first time!

Here it is: http://fandom-stocking.dreamwidth.org/312545.html#cutid1

(I wrote it when I was light-headed without realising on Monday, so it is only lucky it wasn't even more rambly. Or even more about David Collings. I think I managed to delete a bit. *hides*) As you lot know me well, feel free - if you wish to put anything in it - for it to be anything you know I like, even if I haven't listed it. (My main fannish interests are obscure enough without me scaring passers-by any more than I have already.)

If you have a stocking as well, please do link me to it in the comments to this post! If you don't, and want one, I understand there's a week or two left to put one up. If you don't know what this is, it's just literally a sort of virtual fannish stocking - a place for people to leave you icons or drabbles/ficlets or other nice things of that sort as treats and then it'll be unscreened on Jan 6th. (I think. I'm not sure I didn't just make that date up, though, but it'll be something like that.) You don't have to do anything for other people's stockings unless you wish; it isn't an exchange. There's usually an AO3 collection for it, too.

But yes, link me to yours, please, too.

(ETA: Just looked at it. Oh, dear. Light-headed me, yes. :-/)

Quick note

thisbluespirit: (carry on Shorthouse writing)
... to say I finally got around to posting the [livejournal.com profile] fandom_stocking stories I wrote (or most of them) into the community's AO3 collection. So, apologies those of you who may suddenly find a note to say you've got a gift, and then it's only that!

If people want to know the links are under the cut - that share feature is very, very handy! (Two of these I have already posted to Teaspoon, of course.)

DW, Press Gang, Blake's 7 etc )

If anyone prefers not to have their stocking filler archived there, let me know & I'll delete it.
