Beyond the Roundels

My flist is still busy as a busy thing! I'm still not always terribly good at keeping up!

But here are some things going on that look good to me:

* 100fandoms has opened on Dreamwidth (formerly long inactive LJ comm) - copy the table of 100 prompts, write a new fandom for each. (More details on the comm but it's pretty fun and laid back. As a multifannish sort, expect to see me posting the table any time soon. When can I resist these things? It'll be easy to combine with bingos & get me writing some of those 500 Prompts, right?)


* There's a new fandom meta newsletter started at thisweekmeta.


* And corvidology is suggesting a "Stuff I Love" posting meme for February, which sounds like a good thing to me.


Also, for those into all things Holmesian, there is now sherlockkinkmeme.

ETA: Oh, and, very importantly, who_contest is also relaunching on Dreamwidth!

It seems to be a Red Letter Day today. First off, Happy Birthday to:

meneleth, rosiedlotrfan, jaxomsride, whuffle, and (last but very much never the least) aralias! May you all have a wonderful time (and curses on the heads of all those who combine b'day and Christmas presents (well, unless they're really good ones))!


However, as at least three of them know only too well, it's also B7's Gauda Prime Day. *removes non-existent hat*

I've posted these two things before, including last year, but it only feels right to post them again now, because 2016. The vid is spoilery (as ever), but the meta is not. It's also short and I really do recommend taking a look, even if you don't know Blake's 7. Because 2016.

(For those who don't understand: I once wrote a non-spoilery guide to Blake's 7. It won't explain, because spoilers, but at least you know what I'm on about in the more general terms. Creaky old TV, as ever, in the even shorter version.)

I love that of all my fandoms, only two of them have a special day attached and one of them is an anniversary that's all about joy and hope and ridiculousness, and the other is... well, Gauda Prime Day. But sort of oddly bleakly hopeful anyway, I think.
