Everyone seems to be posting happy fanvids. This is a good thing. I will also oblige with some reciprocal happiness of the Who-ish kind.

Here you go - Six being unrepentently Six:

and Seven's lighter side:

Also I came across this Spike/Buffy vid. To McFly's 'Obviously'... and the whole thing fits so perfectly, it just makes me grin.

Hadn't seen those before, but I enjoyed them thoroughly -- thanks for pointing them out!

I started grinning as soon as I recognized the Razzle Dazzle song from Chicago -- so appropriate for Seven! And the world needs more videos of Six being all Six-y. :D

Spike/Drusilla > Spike/Buffy!

Er... I'm actually only saying that because I never watched Buffy. I just want more real monster/monster romance.

Heh, I made a Six vid to that song... four years ago? It was my first ever vid and quite bad especially towards the end. Youtube kept pulling it. D:

But it's weird to see how they use the same clips in the same parts. Surreal really.

Loving the Seven vid! I haven't seen that one! I'd thought I'd seen every Seven vid of decent quality on youtube. I'm loving how they made use of some of the DVD bonus material. Heh.

And then last one... I never thought I'd see unexpected naked James Marsters on YOUR journals. lmao. That was brilliant. I need to watch the last two season of Buffy at some point...

Hahahaha, thanks for these! I got so sick of that Grace Kelly song when it was on the radio all the time, but now I kind of love it and I'm going to have it happily bouncing around in my head all night. :)

It is. I think it's more my sporadic internets than the computer, but who the hell knows. :D Can't remember what the last thing was that I couldn't watch now...

Heh, I wasn't about to get into a ''ship war''. Like I said, I never even watched Buffy. I was just all ''Yay, genuine vampire/vampire romance, finally!'' I just want more non-human/non-human romances in general, y'know.

Hee, thanks. Anyway, I think that what bothers me is that a vampiric (or alien, werewolf etc) hero's Truest Love Ever always has to be human and the females of his own kind (and the genders are rarely swapped) are portrayed as cold, irredeemable etc and he can only know Real Love through a human. I'd just for once like to see a functional, loving relationship between two non-humans. Interspecies romances aren't even edgy or provocative on the telly, because that's basically all there is. I know it's probably supposed to be something like ''The audience is supposed to identify with the human character!'' but, personally, I never ''pick'' favourite characters based on how deeply I identify with them, but on how interesting/funny/entertaining I find them.

Teal dear: Genuine (i.e. not 'unhealthy' or one-sided) love between two (or more) immortals/semi-immortals - I want more of it.

Er... sorry about the novel.

But that doesn't mean it's an impossible thing to do. One of the things I like about immortal romances is the way they can be completely different, yet, completely similar to us. IDK, I just find, realistically (lol, yeah I know) more likely that an immortal would feel more attached to another immortal because humans, to their perspective, live for about five minutes. I'm also tired of the whole I-was-never-TRULY-in-love-before-YOU angle. Also, I sometimes get a weird vibe of femme fatale/slut-shaming from the story-line, i.e. the vampiric or alien women aren't as ''pure'' or ''uncorrupted'' as the human women and thus can't Teach Him to Love. Also, if it's too difficult for them to do an immortal/immortal romance, then surely an immortal/human romance ought to be pretty much impossible, because the immortal wouldn't really be able to feel anything in common with the mortal. This isn't me being against immortal/mortal romances, btw, just saying that's it's no less of a ''problematic'' storyline to pull off.

I don't make them particularly often because I lack the clips/software/time to do it. The Six vid is on my old laptop somewhere if I can get it to turn on. It does this blue screen of DOOM and then immediately shuts down about half the time but I'll see about it if you like (it really was quite an awful vid though).

Buffy! I've only seen the first five seasons. I watched them all in a row two years ago, and that was my first and last real contact with the show. I did like it though. It was very well done.

All I've seen of Angel (that I remember anyways) is that episode where everyone gets turned into a puppet. Love that episode.

And James Marsters is quite brilliant indeed!
