Belated Birthday Fic

jjpor. It's not exactly what I would call a story, and my efforts at doing Doctor-related OTPs fail as always, but it came out of one of those epic LJ conversations we've had (where we make the thread go about as thin as a needle), this one about the Doctor, and companions and love. And when I saw it, I decided I rather liked it after all, and that JJ would like the first scene, if nothing else, so here goes, but I wrote it in April...
(And the omission of some of the companions between Four and Eight is because I had enough to make the point; also I don't know how Evelyn left, nor do I know enough about Hex and Erimem. But if people like it and aren't just going 'eh' at the randomness of the random fic, I might try and fit in Mel and Turlough and post it on Teaspoon. Or I might get on with writing other fic...)
So, the Doctor, and his relationship with his companions, and Romana, and lots of snippets about extra adventures he may have had with Amelia Rumford. Or something along those lines.
