Happy birthday to seriesfive! I hope you've been having a lovely day - and very much hope this next year brings better things! In the meantime, I looked to see which of my nearly-ready S&S ficlets might perhaps double up as a birthday fic & found this. (And made the ending quite a bit shippier than planned for you - which was the bit that took all day and made this late! ♥)
