Look, it's an official crossover!
Jun. 29th, 2012 08:51 pmI saw this: http://eirienne.tumblr.com/post/26136397823/look-look-lady-edith-is-wearing-a-creation-by
I am eagerly waiting for S3 of DA, not just because, obviously, next season please, but because it will then be okay to write a perfectly logical crossover in which Mary or Edith have their wardrobe designed by the up and coming Eliott sisters. Well, if you follow the link, you will see that Lady Edith is actually wearing an outfit created by Evangeline Eliott! If anyone writes a crossover, it'll be pretty much canon. Downton Abbey and HoE clearly exist in the same reality. *glee*
(Look, small things please me. And that is just brilliant. It's perfect. I wonder if any more Eliott creations will get an airing?)
Also, my Mum and Dad have been and gone, and it was v nice, now I am v tired. :-)

Date: 2012-06-30 04:16 pm (UTC)And, yes, well, you see Downton Abbey will shortly follow some posh folks in the 1920s, and The House of Eliott was a show about two sisters in the 1920s who set up their own fashion house to design clothes for the posh/rich folks - and Lady Edith has been spotted wearing one of Evangeline Eliott's earliest creations from HoE. So you can see how they dovetail beautifully.
(Well, okay. Trust me. It deserves the whoohoos!)

(I like to think, Post-Gauda Prime it finally fell. And then the new free society was, of course, nearly as bad, but that's B7 for you. Or my head canon.)
I do like the 1920s as a period. :-)
