Just saw this - The Generator of Doctor Who Episode Titles

It was more entertaining than I'd expected, even given my liking for these things - I got The Amy's Terror of the Polo. And The Dalek Daleks of Delta.

The worst thing is, you can just see Eleven and Amy having an adventure that involves an evil Polo. Or, at least, I can... (My brain, I know.)

I'm way, way too deep in The Fic That Will Not End to indulge myself in a ficathon - I know what would happen, I'd start to sketch out a one-off scene, and the next thing I know I'd be 10,000 words deep wondering what happened!

Hee. They're good. For some reason I really like nearly all the Dalek ones - I think because the show has used up nearly all of the 'of the Daleks' titles you can get - we'll have to have one of these alternatives at some point!

And you don't need to know much Doctor Who to get that Classic Who has a tendency to do The Terror/Horror/Invasion of the X, The X of DOOM/DEATH etc.

I quite liked The Fireplace of the Celestial Romans as well. And everything with the Shakespeare Highlanders. :-)

The Dead of the Underworld is at least logical. And The Lazraus London sounds like an apocalyptic novel of some sort.

Yes, I think the Dalek titles amuse me especially, because The Ultimate Daleks, and The Cybermen of the Daleks... well, at some point it's just going to happen, isn't it? I quite like the idea of The Ghost Daleks of the Fireplace as a potential creepy Christmas special, as well.

I love that they come out as a mix of the mundane, the truly head-scratchingly bizarre, a few intriguing ones, and others that sound like an over-eager fan submitting a script written in crayon. Oh, and very occasionally, the actual titles.

(For instance, I got The Game of the Dead, and The Silver Wasp among others that were quite cool/intriguing. What however, you'd do with The Eleventh Timelash, I don't know.)

And... oh, no!!! Not the Curse of the Idiot's Revenge!! (It might be another adventure for the Curse of Fatal Death Doctor. Heh.)
