b7friday is opening up again! We have a new prompt and everything and I have made banners to promote it. If you want to use them to pimp it somewhere yourself, the code is in the text box:

(I stole these pics from the B7 Image Library, and basically every single B7 group shot on it seems to be everyone looking seriously unimpressed/bad-tempered, so I choose these where they also looked kind of vaguely interested as well as unimpressed. Ish. Oh, B7... <3)

Can I just ask if there's a general expectation of shortness and sweetness? Because my ability to produce 10k of angst when everyone really expected a limerick is astounding and I find it embarrassing to get it wrong ;-l

There is no expectation of sweetness whatsoever - it's B7! Angst, bitterness, bleakness are fine (as are sweetness and fluff). It is supposed to be a quick challenge for flashfic (so 25-500 words, or equivalent in other medium) but we've never turned down a longfic fill to a prompt yet. So, go for it, and if it winds up long, just post it anyway. If you miss the two week deadline, we're happy to see it anyway, or you can wait till amnesty week if you feel more comfortable posting it then. (Too many words have happened to plenty of us.)

Limericks are also more than welcome, though.

Thank you! I suspect that flashfic may well turn out to be beyond my capability to not overwrite every time (I find it hard to resist consequences and consequences of those consequences) but I can at least try. I'm afraid this week's is four times as long as it should be already but it is at least showing some signs of running down. I shall try to atone with a limerick at some point!

I do expect a limerick at some point now, though!

It is finished at a short (for me) 4k or so! You many have it posted in your forum or out of your forum if you feel that length is ridiculously inappropriate for that as you please- I'm happy either way. I will try to stick to the rules next time!

Well done! If you wrote it for the comm, then please do post it there - just make sure it's under a cut, or linked to AO3, whichever you'd rather. It's very good to see someone taking part - and words run away with us all sometimes!
