I made a thing!
Dec. 6th, 2018 05:58 pmThe inevitable result of the tumblr purge is, of course, that I made a comm, even if it wasn't wise:

Please do take a look, tell me what I have missed/done wrong or anything else I should put in the intro/rules, and feel free to join! I'll pimp it about soon.
I would also be very glad of a co-mod, if anyone is interested. It's a general comm, so it hopefully shouldn't be too arduous. I need to work out a sensible tagging method as yet, but I think otherwise it's fairly straightforward.

Date: 2018-12-06 07:02 pm (UTC)Hmm, I don't mod any comm, challenge or anything like that, and I love history - I could probably help out with this one. Hopefully I won't regret saying this...

Date: 2018-12-06 09:03 pm (UTC)Also you can always make posts to keep things lively if it starts getting quiet and so on. Or not, as you choose!
Modding an event is more specific - modding a general comm is usually more hands off unless something goes wrong or tags need adding.

Date: 2018-12-06 09:24 pm (UTC)And I think I'll be happy to make the occasional post to keep things lively. I can usually find some book, podcast or other such source to rec, at least, or do an "any good sources on X?" question. :-)

Date: 2018-12-07 08:48 pm (UTC)Hopefully the comm will be useful! We'll see. Maybe you can meet some new French history people. :-)

Date: 2018-12-08 02:35 pm (UTC)You can add tags to people's posts by clicking 'edit tags' on the post itself, but if you need to correct a tag or create one without a post, again, go to 'Organize' choose 'tags' and when it brings it up change user from auroracloud to historium and you can rename, delete or create tags.
Maybe you know all that already, but it just occurred to me.
