... to the bunch of my flisters I like to call the Gauda Prime Gang, especially since most of them know exactly what I mean, and clearly go in for ironic birth dates. But, no, really - best wishes and a happy day to [personal profile] meneleth, [personal profile] aralias, [personal profile] rosied, [personal profile] jaxomsride2 and to [personal profile] whuffle! May your day be entirely unlike the anniversary we're commemorating. ♥

And with that, also fellow commiserations to all us Blake's 7 fans, for Gauda Prime Day is upon us once more. What could possibly go wrong now, indeed? (Thanks, [personal profile] sallymn, for all the most perfect icons!)

(And, as ever, if you don't know what I'm talking about and you have any interest in SFF and any toleration for old time Brit TV, you should find out, especially now that it's actually available via BritBox! You can thank me next year. In short: watch B7. It's old, it's super-influential, it's shaky, it's still much much too relevant, it's the snarkiest, and it's very awesome and somehow great fun and terribly bleak all at the same time.)

Even on Gauda Prime Day, I remain deeply grateful to BritBox and you for enabling my finally embracing B7 in all it's snarky far too relevant brilliance. <3

In the spirit of Gauda Prime Day, I give you this extra reason to be depressed and miserable. ;)

(In case you don't like following random Twitter links, Peter Anghelides is sharing a .pdf of the novelisation of "Blake" that he wrote with Chris Boucher's blessing many years ago.)

The trauma of that episode finally got me writing stories.
The trauma of Tara getting killed on Buffy got me writing fanfic all over again after many years of giving up.

The perceived trauma of going an entire year; also an entire calendar year has gotten me writing a story again.

I fear there may be something seriously screwed up in my brain.
Shocker I know.

First was Blake's 7; second Buffy the Vampire Slayer; third will be for a Japanese webseries.
My B7 fics ended up being centred around Dayna and Avalon; Buffy about Tara and Faith; as well as a character who was in one scene; had about two lines and never appeared again.

Wondering where this new burst will send me; two characters from another series entirely inspired me to write for characters from another show produced at the same time (2013-15) and I ended up writing a story about two of the other characters in the end.

Gauda Prime to Sunnydale to Korea to Thailand to Japan...
Where will I end up this time?

Thanks for the commiserations, lol!

I celebrated with my usual reading of B7 fix-it fics, and a tub of my local WaWa's chicken corn chowder, which is yummy.
