calapine's vidding skills and Jacqueline Hill/Barbara Wright's awesome would lead you to expect.
(Not that I wish to sound annoying, but if anyone really thinks there weren't any strong DW female characters and/or actresses before New Who - and I'm sure no one here does - watch this, and see how wrong a person can be. :-p)
