Pairing Meme

I've seen this go around, and I finally thought of some descriptions/quotes/moments to use for some ships, so here they are. Your mission is to guess the pairing by the description. (There is probably some proper meme blurb for it, but I'm a bit behind the times.)

I am pretty sure I have at least mentioned them all, I've written fic for some and definitely mentioned the fandom. There's one threesome (so, there's a clue, but it was either that or I'd have to have the 3 component pairings in separately). The pairing in my icon is not included. I don't think I'd describe some of them as OTPs, though. One or two might be a little random...


1. A broken clock keeps better time.
2. She's definitely winning in this relationship.
3. What was it Holmes said to Watson?
4. He's got a thing for her cardigans.
5. There are no people like them.
6. The ranger and the thief.
7. Aliens made them do it.
8. In future, she'll know where to go for mating advice.
9. He's no deb's delight.
10. Their beginning is unimaginable.
11. If he says that again, she'll spit in his eye.
12. She's after his lunch.
13. Imagination is their only limit.
14. He expects her to believe in little green men.
15. He doesn't say these things to just anyone.
16. She's the girl he made fun of in elementary school.
17. They'll never be free of each other.
18. Their whole relationship is the result of an alien experiment.
19. He might be the strangest man she's ever met.
20. He's welcome.
21. She's only the ghost.
22. She'd kiss him if he weren't so ugly.
23. She can explain the pencil.
24. She's contaminated his spores.
25. She may kiss him. (It's an order.)

Lol. A part of the problem is that half of these look like I should be able to recognise them, and yet I can't figure out what they are! My brain's gone all mush.

I've been having that same problem. I'm really embarrassed now that I didn't get Sarah/Harry, because I *knew* I recognized that quote, but I couldn't place it.

The only one I was semi-sure about was #3 being Sapphire/Silver/Steel, but it turns out that was a wrong guess. At least I was right about that being the threesome. Partial credit?

if it's any help, 8 & 18, and 12 & 16 are from shows we both know. No one else has guessed anyone from either of those, yet, even though they are much more mainstream than my usual sorts of thing.

16 I chose because it's kind of misleading, and the pairing were such an obvious one I wanted a less recognisable quote.

Probably that doesn't help, but it's true.

Also, :lol:, anyone who didn't know who the threesome were really, really hasn't been paying any attention to my LJ since last June. I'm having a belated teenage obsession. But you can have credit, yes!!! It's sad that I wasn't cunning enough to think of 3 as a description of them, but it is just a quote from something else.

The threesome is (my one and only OT3 ever) Silver/Sapphire/Steel at 10. (Now, pay attention to my wild wafflings in future... I might ask questions later.)

You know many, many things that other people don't. You could probably translate each of these sentences into a different language and make the meme impossible to play.

I'm not sure that "this is my meme" is a good enough show of authority. Do you have form 45-8a[ii] in three copies?

(Also, I wonder if you have a Clyde/Rani hiding somewhere in there where I can't find them. But that's just cos I ship them like whoa, not because it's part of the requirements in form 45-8a[ii]).

*cough* Yes, of course, I do. I filled it in neatly in black ink and capitals and everything.

I don't. I wanted to, but I realised I have not watched SJA enough times and I couldn't remember any specific scenes or quotes at all, so I let Kenny and Sam in instead. But I was intending to have them.

I know! Why don't I watch Supernatural and Glee, or Game of Thrones? Or at least have the decency to write about Star Trek and Buffy or things like that? No, instead, I just chase after 30 year old British shows with David Collings in.
