Ruth! Malcolm!

I has Ruth icon! It struck me that if I used the icons/graphics tags on spooky_doings I would be bound to find some. Oh, the pain of not being able to use all of them at once. *coughs*

But, bonus, I found a malcolm vid! A Malcolm vid to Inspector Gadget.

Yes, as you can, see, I am so unexcited about this it's unreal.

Look, Spooks is the only show I love almost as much as Doctor Who. And DW just isn't this sarky and there's no Ruth. I admit, there's the Doctor and other wonderful people, but this Ruth-lessness is a downside to anything. Well, technically Spooks is Ruth-less, too, but, oh, once it wasn't.

Having not seen Spooks (I know, I know) I can't comment on the lack of Ruth and the wonderfulness which I am surely missing, but, need I remind you, that Spooks is missing Donna.

And Donna must count for something.

Well, it is hard to come by overseas. (Actually, it's not easy to catch up on over here, either. They never repeat them on the BBC.)

Donna is also awesome, true, but the Ruthiness of Ruth is hard to beat. Put it like this, despite other far more awesome characters around, my list of Best TV Characters goes like this:

1. The Doctor (splendid chaps, all of him)
2. Ruth Evershed

It shouldn't; it really shouldn't, but it does. (She's nothing but her job but she's okay with that and she likes to think there isn't an institution in the country that's safe from her. And we believe it...)
