Sorry about the delay in answering. I went away and am even now still recovering.

I've seen people treating 20 as 'marked unread' rather than literally unread, which does make more sense, but isn't intuitive at all! *shakes head*

I already answered #15, which, yeah, I assume is a writing context (I didn't learn much!) and I'm not at all sure what the literal answer to #29 is, but I have bookmarked two drabbles that were actually written last year that I liked, and here they are:
