persiflage_1 rescued me with a beta when I was at the point of doubting it even made sense, and at last it is posted:
Transience (c.4500 words, Peri, Governor of Varos, Maldak,PG, possibly AU, spoilers for Vengeance on Varos.)
I should also confess that in my efforts to have an appropriate icon (yes, really), I spent more than I like to admit of yesterday, screen-capping Vengeance on Varos and making an insane number of Varos-related icons. (It wasn't really that mad, only I was beginning to get an idea of what I was doing, and so...) You can witness the results HERE. If anyone should actually want one, you're welcome.
Now,back to the Regency... :lol:

Date: 2010-03-15 07:11 am (UTC)Well, you see, it was meant to be a general fic like this, originally, then it was going to a Happy Endings, then I flailed, because it would have to be a serious one. And then I resurrected for this and had to remove the shippiness. And then wondered if the poor thing had any story left. And I still couldn't get away by just doing jokey dialogue because of the death and torture and stuff. It was a bit like my flailing when I wrote 'Robophobia', except then I at least knew I'd written the fic I wanted to write. Or possibly just because I'm strange. ;-D
Oh, yes, but the next chapter of that only needs correcting & it's ready to post. It was C&D that was trying to steal my brain over the weekend.

Well, you see, it was meant to be a general fic like this, originally, then it was going to a Happy Endings, then I flailed, because it would have to be a serious one.
