So, since bingos and prompt tables seem to have been the way to go for me lately, I thought I'd give trope_bingo another go, and got a pretty good card, actually. (I've amended the capslock to lower case, because I'm weird like that and it makes me feel happier somehow.)

I've been debating signing up for a new Trope Bingo card. I really should just work on the Gen Prompt Bingo card I signed up for months ago and have done nothing at all with yet. But, honestly, that card's not inspiring me very much, and the Trope Bingo ones generally seem to lead to more interesting (or at least more interesting-to-write) fic for me. But on the third hand, Trope Bingo has a deadline, and between doing Remix and some RL stuff that's going to eat up a big chunk of next month, I don't have a whole lot of confidence in my ability to finish on time for it.

Trope Bingo may have a deadline, but it also has an amnesty and no penalties, so I'm not signing up with any expectation of doing anything other than posting stuff in amnesty, and it should still lead to fic, so... why not? /evil grin

There is some hangup in my brain that cannot quite deal with the thought of missing a deadline even if there is literally no penalty whatsoever. Still kind of tempted, though. Especially looking at your card, which is, indeed, quite a nice card. I also kind of want a nice card! :)

The minimum's only 300 words! You could write 15000 in two or three months, no problem!!

lol. Yeah, whatever works for you, obviously. I think I used to have way more hang-ups over it a few years back and didn't use to sign up for trope bingo in particular because of the short time limit compared to the others. But I've just grown sort of brazen, or, idk, realising that the card makes me happy, and if I write 1 thing I wouldn't have written otherwise, it's a win all round, I suppose.

For some reason when I write Popular Tropes it tends to be Ten/Donna. "Everyone thinks we're a couple" is most of their episodes after all!
