Ooooh, this was a pleasant surprise! Ah, the 500 prompts meme. That was forever ago, but I'll never forget about it, if only because I still feel a bit sorry for how few of them I ever managed to write, myself.

Anyway, this was lovely little missing scene showcasing what is, after all, one of the pivotal decisions in the show, and the POV of little Henry feels absolutely perfect. (Aww. I miss Henry.)

Re: S1 details, I have a vague memory that maybe at one point early on Henry said he hadn't figured out who Mr. Gold was, but honestly even if that's right, I think I'd be in favor of ignoring it, because it makes absolutely zero sense once you see how much there is in the storybook about Rumple. Who else could the guy possibly be? Yeesh. :)

Anyway. I'm delighted to see you still writing these, and it having been this long between prompt and fill only means that it now fills me with warm nostalgia. :)

And thank you! And that was the bit I was probably meant to check before I typed up, but I also remembered him warning Emma not to speak to Gold because of who he was, so idk. (Actually, now I come to think of it, that's probably why it was in the notebook - because it was only comparatively recently that I finally got S1 returned to me, so I wouldn't have been able to check when I wrote it.)
