No True Pair

corvidology very wisely suggested I take the plunge this time and sign up for no_true_pair, which was obviously right, because what it is, is basically the 15 Characters meme except you're expected to write at least some of the resulting prompts. I mean, clearly, I should have done this the second I saw it crop up at fandomcalendar, but, idk, it's been a weird year or so...

I signed up with this assorted list:

1. Clara Oswald
2. Copper (S&S)
3. Jenkins (The Librarians)
4. Alice Jones (OUaT)
5. Charley Pollard
6. Sixth Doctor
7. Annabelle Hurst (Dept S)
8. The Brigadier

I hadn't realised quite how many and how thorough the prompts would be, and I might next time sign up with two lists (a crossover one and an in-fandom one, because you can do that too, apparently), but still I do love the results and at least some of them will hopefully become actual ficlets! You're supposed to post them on the given day for that prompt (Sept 1-28 in this case), but there's also no pressure and no penalties if you fall out of a round.

If any of you would like to sign up, probably best not to click on the cut until you've drawn up your list! (I have swapped the numbers for the characters, but it'll still give you an idea of the questions (and the matching if you're paying attention).

Anyway, I think it might also appeal to some of you as well, and that would be even more fun. <3 (I made a crossover list, but most people were single-fandom, so that's just me being me.)

Well, it is also really nice when other people want to read it, because the point of fic is to be read. But yes!

Ugh, I feel you, noisy neighbours are the worst--yesterday at midnight, my upstairs neighbours were jumping and moving furniture really loudly, so I sympathise!

Summer does seem to have ceased being ott for the last couple of days, so hopefully! THe neighbours haven't stopped being noisy yet. We had nearly 3 quiet days and nights and now they're back off again.

Just for funsies, though, I made my own crossover list before I looked at your prompts and checked to see what mine would have been. And, I have to say, they were delightful. And were also things that it would be a genuine challenge to do any kind of justice to, even as cracky humor. So it may be just as well, really.

Still, glad to see you're doing it! I hope it turns out to be just as much fun as it looks!

EVen though you obv have very sensible reasons not to take part, that makes me feel all the more wistful about it! Even if I might not have known 1/2-2/3s of them!

Thanks! The acting has been going great!! I'm going to post a few pictures from a couple of the performances we've done so far in my journal. We did three this past weekend, and we'll do three more this coming weekend.
