1. Last night was Comic Relief, which apparently meant that we got this wonderful extra little bit of (BBC) Ghosts to enjoy:

2. Still time to sign up for

no_true_pair's mini round! (Well, I say still time; I signed up after the prompts were posted last time and it was fine - as long as you don't look at the prompts first). But it's basically like the 15 Characters Meme, but you actually try to write the fic, and only 4 characters for this mini-round. It's very laid back, no penalties, no pressure. Just make a little list of characters and get some shiny prompts to play with, why not? ♥

3. New icon comms keep sprouting all the time! I don't think I've kept up at all, but here are two more cool-looking ones for those who like icon-making, or just want places to rifle for the pretties -

Hehe, not three times, but the YouTube algorithm did punt it my way last night. I was very surprised, because I didn't know this sort of thing was a thing at all, and still don't really understand how Comic Relief works, other than it's a charity (fundraiser?) involving comedians, presumably?

Anyway, the mini-sode/sketch was great! I particularly loved Mike getting to bond with someone in his same predicament of having to share conversation space with dead people they can't see or hear. But Kitty's 34 reasons for why Alison should prefer her to Kylie Minogue was also great :D

Yeah, it's a charity started by Richard Curtis and Lenny Henry, and the sketches like this are from Red Nose Day, which is the focal point of it, where people run sponsored events, buy red noses and other stuff, and the BBC hosts a giant telethon with fun sketches and celebrities turning up to do stuff for free while the public are urged to ring up and donate (telephony also provided free by British Telecom). (We also have Children in Need in November, which is similar, but less comedy focused and the telethon less fun, but the two can get confused.)

It isn't always just BBC things, either!

Yes! And Mike getting commiseration from a fellow sufferer was definitely a highlight, too. I'll have to find the clip I saw via tumblr for you, because there's an extra in-studio bit where they show an additional clip of everybody singing with Kylie!

It's not spoilery at all in itself - but it is spoilery if you don't know the one big spoiler from s4. (I have a feeling you've told me you do, in which case, watch away, you'll be fine. If not, it can't help but give that away even though nothing specific to s4's plot(s) are mentioned at all.)
