I was feeling a bit blah for the last day (mostly because I did a mix of nice/stupid things the last couple of days!) and cheered myself up no end generating these last night. And of course, what would ever stop me sharing the continuing saga of Dalek Sec's eternally doomed attempts at a love life?
625) Return to Me by Jacqueline Thomas
Susan Foreman never had a relationship with her mother. Determined that her daughter Thirteen — put up for adoption without her knowledge — won’t suffer the same fate, she tracks the young daughter to Charleston… and to the home of her sister’s handsome best friend Neal Cassidy. How to make the Timeless Child thing even more complicated?
565) Navy Nurse by Rosie M. Banks (really)
Harry Sullivan, handsome Navy nurse, had an attack of love at first sight. And he didn’t want to be cured.
The man was tall, good-looking and French. Thrilled by his kisses, Harry longed for the day he would be Mr. Ianto Jones.
But Ianto never talked of marriage. And he was mysterious about his private life, especially the source of his wealth.
Meanwhile, the Office of Naval Intelligence had rated Ianto “top priority.” And handsome Archie Hopper, ONI agent, was making a particularly thorough check. Archie loved Harry deeply. He’d stop at nothing to save him from the dangers that threatened his happiness — and his life.
(Mainly here just for the bonus points for very nearly 100% accurate casting of Harry.)
585) The Witch and the Werewolf by Michele Hauf
The werewolf's fate rested in the witch's hands . . .
Servalan is a quirky witch who’s on a quest to complete a dark spell that will grant her immortality – at the expense of using a live vampire's heart in the spell. She's ready to conjure that dangerous and life-changing spell, until she meets a lone werewolf and beekeeper.
Rose Tyler has secrets of her own. Her alpha allure is obvious, but Servalan senses that there’s something more to her than her raw sexiness. When Rose entrusts her with a devastating revelation, Servalan has to make a choice. Will she now sacrifice the most potent magic she’s ever worked on to be with the woman she loves?
No. No, she will not. Sorry, Rose.
614) The Duke and the Pirate Queen – Victoria Janssen
Aboard his privateering ship, The Seaflower, Captain Marvin the Paranoid Android is the law.
Ashore he answers only to his liege, Duke David Nolan. They are a powerful couple, with an intense attraction neither can disguise nor deny. As a nobleman, David is destined to wed strategically, so his seductive advances must be purely for pleasure. And what self-respecting pirate denies himself any pleasure? Their delicious dalliance is prolonged when Marvin is forced to abduct David to thwart a political plot against him.
At sea, with a stunningly virile man bound and held in his private quarters, Marvin can imagine — and enact — any number of intoxicating scenarios. The heat between captain and captive is matched only by the perils that beset The Seaflower and her crew. Violent storms, marauding corsairs and life-or-death sex games on a desert island — how fortunate for the seemingly insatiable lovers that danger and desire go hand-in-hand.
THERE WAS A CURSE.

318) Waterford Point by Alana Matthews
The perfect getaway was what Kevin Darling expected, not a real-life mystery that could become his next bestseller. Escaping California for Waterford Point, Maine, was supposed to be all rest and relaxation. But instead of breakfast in bed, Kevin experienced night terrors, and woke to the cries of the Weeping Willow….

Despite Oleg's picture-perfect scowl and reprimands, there was more going on beneath the surface, and it needed further investigation. And what he found was a courageous hero who would give him something better than a storybook ending.
(I can see Gan as the town sheriff.)

They're dead, then. Marvin is not going to save anyone - what would be the point?
I think I want that Dayna/Emma Peel crossover. These are two people who need to meet.
She'll marry him secretly and return home a widow. But sometimes even the best laid plans fall apart...
I think it's safe to say that this one will not and Vila is going to die.

Date: 30 Apr 2023 07:34 pm (UTC)Those two would definitely be fun!
And I'm very entertained by it's roles for Servalan this time. XD She will absolutely sacrifice Rose! I can see Vila perhaps managing to try and find reasons to stay useful to her until he can escape, but certainly Servalan wouldn't have any problem about murderous marriage plans!!

Date: 30 Apr 2023 07:32 pm (UTC)I'm also impressed by the Orac/Marvin the Paranoid Android ship. I mean, it would be 100% unlike anything the random generator suggested, but it is certainly an interesting idea XD
also, I have only a faint fandom osmosis knowledge of River Song, but even that's enough to want to see the hilarious situation with Londo being saddled with a surprise mail order family XD

Ahahaha. but yeah XD
tbf, this does sound like something that would happen if you conveniently married G'kar.
Can't disagree... (Arthur Dent/G'Kar is something else though XD)

also, I have only a faint fandom osmosis knowledge of River Song, but even that's enough to want to see the hilarious situation with Londo being saddled with a surprise mail order family XD
It is a combination of pure genius, especially with this summary: characters who would turn up at the door claiming to be a mail order brid? River. Characters who would totally somehow order a mail order bride (and expect Vir to sort out the mess)? Londo. He would be about equal parts delighted and horrified - River would be very much up for full tentacle exploration and she'd insist on an open relationship (he'd be, like, husband no 5), but at the same time she would not be fobbed off from whatever she actually wanted and she's pretty tricky to deal with. Amazing. :-) I don't know about the babies, though. I dread to think where they came from, but i hope Vir is around for that part.

XD "It was just for the Green Card, G'kar! We went over this!!" Meanwhile, he's moved in and changed all the curtains and is lighting candles in the kitchen and cooking God knows what in there.
Arthur Dent/G'kar is kind of sweet in a weird way, yes.

With Orac for company, too. What could possibly go wrong?

Date: 30 Apr 2023 09:47 pm (UTC)I'd forgot about plot generators, but coming back to Dreamwidth after a prolonged absence, and being greeted by all of these was a great way to snicker myself back into posting. Thanks for sharing! (Also, I would totally read something about Dr. Silver.)
Happy Sunday (even if it's largely over in your time zone.)

Date: 1 May 2023 05:45 pm (UTC)Exactly! I do love the ones where the obvious intended answer to the summary's question is entirely nuked by the generator's casting.
And River/Londo sort of horrifies me, but, dammit, now I kind of want it.
Me, too! I mean, given what they're both like, it seems kind of inevitable that he could be one of her husbands (and she one of his wives).
