no_true_pair is running again! (The fest that's like the 15 Characters Meme, except you actually write the resulting prompts, or try to!)

Anyway, I've been feeling so apathetic about writing anything that wasn't Starfall stuff for Rainbowfic, that I wasn't sure if it was worth it, but I put together an Original list and a rather random fandom one (I hoped it'd at least push me to do a 100fandoms piece for one of my recent films if nothing else) - but, of course, the prompts are excellent again! (I have already at least scribbled said film tag off the back of it.)

If you want to play, there's still plenty of time - just put your list(s) of eight characters in the sign-up post before you look at the prompts post, and you're good. Have fun!

Hmm. You know, I was vaguely toying with the idea of doing this this time, just because I so love that 15 characters meme and it seems to have mostly fizzled out by now. But September appears to have somehow become the time when my family decides they want me to Do Things, thus massively cutting into my time for fannish activities. (Aka the reason I keep not being able to do Multifandom Tropefest, despite the fact that I really, really, really want to do Multifandom Tropefest, dammit.)

This did seem like it might be low-key and low-pressure enough to be able to slip something in for before RL eats me, so out of curiosity just now I tried making up a list and then cheated just an eensy, eensy bit by looking at the prompts without signing up with said list first. (Although I wouldn't change it anyway, because I Have Integrity.) And then I realized that the challenge requires designated days to post, and the only prompt that immediately sparked any interest with my list is for a day likely to be RL-eaten, so, eh. I think I'll skip it anyway, sadly. I could always just write that particular crossover idea on my own. No one would ever know where the idea came from unless I told them...

Well, you can write the pieces now in August and if you still can't even pop in to post it quickly any time on the day, they have an amnesty after it's over anyway! It's so low pressure, no penalties, no word limits, no recips - you should just do it and if anything comes of it, yay, and if not, you had some shiny prompts to play with for a while. *enables rashly*

Even August is pretty busy, though, and I'm working on finishing my Just Married story, which is kind of coming down to the wire. Plus, I have a bingo card to work on still! Aaaargh. Well, maybe I'll continue to consider it. :)

Possibly not with the card I have. :) Eh, I do think I'm probably going to end up skipping this, but I'm still considering it. And I'm really, really hoping that RL will finally decline to eat me this time next year, and I can do All the Fic Things. :)

I signed up last year and did not do anything XD hopefully this year I’ll be able to finish at least a few, helped by the fact that several (though not all) of the prompts are sparking ideas. I’ll try and tie in a few to 100ships prompts as well, but I’m not sure how/how many
