Fannish Things going on

There seem to be lots of things going in February. I'm not sure if I'll be able to join in any as Feb seems likely to not be the best month for being fannish for me, but I've linked to all of them I can remember - maybe some of you will be able to have fun with them.

1. small_fandoms drabblethon is running again.

2. Fannish 50 challenge is running again, but by someone else, I think.

3. halfamoon, focusing on female characters, runs for the first half of the month and the daily themes are here (though you don't have to use them).

4. corvidology wants people to post about Stuff they Love here

5. And there's febuwhump on tumblr with some fun prompts!

Yes, they usually have a theme going on per month. I don't know if I'm doing any of it, like I said!

Oh, you must have taken the weather - the storm has gone, now it's just sunny and mild! (Also, btw, I bought a Notebook in the supermarket and it was a very nice deep red with some sort of white birds on it. It is Important that I have this to write world-building-y things in.)

I mean, my thoughts are largely about 70s and 80s TV and radio at the moment, so they are not very cool! XD It's kind of you to think they might be, but I am resigned to and quite content with my terminal Uncoolness. Or perhaps you did take all my cool thoughts and that's what happened and why all I've been thinking about is elderly TV and radio, currently mainly involving Martin Jarvis, because I suddenly fell over a whole lot of extra things with him in again.

My Uncool Thoughts are, like: List of Who You Should Marry in OLd Brit Telly:

1. David Collings. Do not marry David Collings. The world will end.
2. Alfred Burke. Do not marry Alfie. He's either Frank Marker or he's evil. If he's Frank, you can't marry him, if he's not, you don't want to.
3. James Maxwell. Marry James Maxwell. he will love you more than you love him and only a 95% odds of being evil and even then you can just... leave him. You might be tempted to run away with someone more exciting instead, but they will kill you in the end.
4. Suzanne Neve: 50/50 - 1960s yes marry her! You cannot be worse than her usual spouses, it will be fine. 1970s - Do not marry her, she will commit crimes. She might even bake you in an oven and also she HAS A SWORD. (It was all the terrible 60s husbands that did it.)
5. Martin Jarvis - 50/50 he will either be a perfect period drama hero and you'll be fine (and probably pretty well off) or he will just look like a perfect period drama hero and in fact be ROTTEN TO THE CORE. Your funeral.
6. Julian Glover - do not marry Julian Glover! I know, BUT. he will be evil. Like 90% odds of being evil. You might have a nice time before he casually kills you when you become disposable, but. just. don't.
7. Peter Jeffrey - this man is 99% irredeemably evil and also highly flammable. do not do it.

(That is how cool my head is. sorry sorry!! XD)

Awww, I'm honoured, because it sounds like a really nice notebook! Yay birds! <3 Haha, and to be honest, I'm deeply uncool, so I'm not the best judge of cool thoughts, but your list was definitely cool *and* funny! I'm sold on Suzanne Neve (and her sword)! XD

Nooo, sword-era, she would totally rob you or murder you! I was trying to think if there'd be anyone who actually would be a good bet and I thought of Barbara Murray, but her odds of being evil are like 45-55 and she always comes attached to someone terrible in some way and when they try to ruin or kill you, she would 100% back them up, so no. Do not marry Barbara Murray!

Jennifer Wilson should be fine, though - she's never villainous, she's lovely, warm; she can run a business one-handed and if you don't want to commit to marriage, she can conduct an affair with you super-discreetly for years. (People will only find out if you decide to liven up your funeral by putting it in your will.) THe only real downside is that you cannot take her on a plane, but that's better than "she might bake you in her pottery kiln."

Thanks for the links! I think I'm going to try doing Fannish 50 this year. I'd also like to do a few things for Febuwhump but I don't think I'm going to get to anywhere near all the prompts.

Oh, good luck! And, I mean, who does all the prompts anyway? What matters is gazing with heart-eyes at the shiniest ones and thinking about fic. And maybe writing at least one. XD
