My entries for the latest retro_icontest challenge - to make a set of 8 icons from 2 caps. This was so challenging and fun I had to try it twice, so I'm posting this here rather than direct to the comm, as it's probably a bit large for that now.

I love what you did for 6 for both sets honestly, they're both striking in their own way. The one from White Heat has some really fun colors (especially with the dotted background), and it's what drew my eye first. Great work! :D

I love your textured ones in particular, and the desaturated ones are perfect, too.

My faves (soooo hard to pick!) are probably 3, 7, and 8 from set 1, and 4, 5, 6, and 7 from set 2.

It was a really fun/fascinating one to do! Normally I'm fussing around about which other caps or fandoms or whatever to use, so to pare it down to: no, these two caps over and over, but mix them up as much as you can was really freeing, and proved to be extremely helpful in getting my mojo back a bit more after the very long icon-hiatus I had.

And thank you. I think the ones you've picked out are pretty much my favourites, too. <3
