Quiet, Victoria!

A quick drabble. This is entirely in aid of ensuring that this scenario is a cliche. Um, don't ask.

The monster came into view. Victoria screamed.

“Shh,” hissed Jamie. “It’ll see us!”

That didn’t work. He paused for a moment, then grabbed her and kissed her enthusiastically. That did.

Eventually, once Jamie the monster had lumbered on past, Victoria drew back.

“Jamie?”

“Yon beastie was going to eat us!”

“But couldn’t you have done something less… improper?” she asked, red.

He frowned. “Well, I could have slapped you.”

“Oh,” said Victoria. She paused and then said, “I suppose I should thank you.”

The Doctor came in search of them.

“My word, Jamie,” he said, “you look pleased with yourself.”

The world can always use more Jamie/Victoria, especially if it helps the clichefic cause. ;)
