Blake's 7 Fanvids recs (part 1)
May. 20th, 2011 11:56 amIt must be time for a recs post; and I have four sitting invisibly here on my LJ (along with various other things), so I should get on and post properly, yes?
I was going to try and get these in one post, but it fast became an epic. Secondly, a warning: most general series fanvids for B7 not only include clips from all 4 seasons, but are totally spoilerish. So I am putting 'NO SPOILERS' on the 'safe' ones and if you are a newbie please assume all the rest will throw the ending at you. Do not blame me if you click on something and this happens. I warned you. And I meant it.
So, Blake's 7 fanvids Part One - ah, that well-known old BBC cracky, tacky, sarky comedy series... (What? What...? Look, the next one will be serious!)
Humorous Vids
Probably the B7 humorous vid, and not really a million miles away from the show's own take on things - SciFiAssassin's Blake's 7 vs Monty Python vid:
(Please remember: I was not joking about spoilers. This one starts at the end...)
Zukalis has used clips from B7 to dramatise Bernard Cribbins's 'Right Said Fred'. This is one of my favourite things, is much fun and wonderfully spoiler-free. Please enjoy. NO SPOILERS
The same vidder also used clips from B7 to dramatise Benny Hill's 'Ernie'. This is, if anything, even funnier. Also amazingly spoiler-free. Poor Ernie!! *grins* NO SPOILERS
Inedible Dormouse - Don't Mess Around With Love
This is very amusing: B7 & its attitude to romance (yes, you can get all the romantic moments in 3 1/2 minutes, and some clips to spare...). The credits are even better than the main vid.
Probably more fun than funny, but decide for yourself: Cartoon Heroes (made by DempseyMakepeace) in which S4 is all light and laughter. (And no spoilers, other than general and characters still in it):
Blake's 7 does the Hokey Cokey. Yes. I really don't think I need say more. Non-spoilery and v amusing. (Another from the v talented Zukalis): NO SPOILERS

Date: 2011-07-04 04:02 pm (UTC)Yes, I found Zukalis's vids some time at the end of last year, and they really are just brilliant. One of the few vidders I have to keep popping back to see if they've done another.
