Yes, I made it. (And have solved my problem in the short-term, although not the 'what do I do if it happens again?' So I'd still be interested in any possible ways around it. But thank you justice_turtle!)

I'm quite pleased with this & I hope other people like it, too? It's my show tribute, or maybe just Elements and the strangeness of their being, or something.

I came across the song at the same time as I watched the show and they fused together in my head (I mean "Time dancers whirling past/ I gaze through the looking glass" and "Sacred geometry/ Where movement is poetry"?). Thanks to fanvidding, I can attempt to share that fusion, even if the world would rather I didn't.

Also, very importantly, it is fic_rush this weekend! Don't forget to join in; the more the merrier! For anyone new round here, or new-ish, fic_rush is a comm where we all try to write as much as possible during 48 hours. (But obviously, we don't write for all 48 hours each. And 'as much as possible' can be any no of words from 1 to 10,000 and of any sort of writing. Also you can come and cheer other people on. Or just bring a penguin and cause trouble, not that I would ever do that.)

Yes. I'd heard her in passing before, but I discovered during the summer that her voice actually helped with my sound thing, and I picked up Pure for 99p in a charity shop - playing it was the first time I'd been able to listen to a song out loud on my CD player for at least five months. And she does have a gorgeous voice. :-)

Aw, well, you can but try! And thanks. I find, by the time I've done with a fanvid, I really can't tell whether it's any good or not, so glad you liked it!

Heh, yes. I was sooo bored and tired this evening, I thought I'd play with my journal settings. I suspect this one is a little too cute to last, but it's rather fun, and it'll do in honour of fic_rush! :-) And it matches my default icon.

Aw, thank you so much. It was quite cool to have a go at making it. (And, heh, thanks, I like to try and keep things symmetrical - they leave at the end in the order they turn up at the start.) Your encouragement over the others made me feel brave enough to try making this one, btw.

Aww, really? I'm glad my encouragement helped. I should think most (if not all) S&S fans would enjoy that vid of yours.

I forgot to say that the music fitted in so well too. It was just faintly creepy, IMO, and S&S always was ever so slightly creepy - if not outright disturbing!

Fabulous vid! I totally know what you mean about all the creepy things now, because wow, even the clocks were creepy. And Sapphire did a lot of mournful staring into middle distance which was quite lovely.

Vidding is something completely off my skillset so I am pretty much in awe. :D

Aw, thanks so much. I hope I haven't spoilered you if you do get to see it. (Not in a conventional way, though. Could you work out what anyone was doing? :lol:) Sapphire does that a lot. It is because she is Joanna Lumley and it is hard to be so very awesome. Heh. Um, really. Yes, like I was trying to say when I started oppressing you, they just take normal things and make them look wrong. Or sometimes normal things. Ghostly figures and people without faces are never normal.

Heh. It is surprisingly easy. I mean, the way I do it, not when you have do more complicated things and properly prepare your clips and stuff & thread sound in and out and things. I did once make a documentary with a music montage (a fanvid now) at the end of it for media studies. It was years ago, but the time my friend and I spent in the editing suite with stuff that was about 20 years old even then, trying to get the clips right as stayed clearly in my brain. I like to think it helped a bit. :-) Collecting the clips and then exporting the file and uploading it are the worst bits, because they just all take ages to do.

Heh, but I am from the 19th C. I just use digital technology to make fanvids.

(ANd when I was at college, what we had was this small room full of video players and cassette players and a screen and it recorded from one to the other and mixed them onto a new video. But there were rumours of digital stuff. People claimed the college had a digital camera somewhere... :-D)
