Date: 2018-12-18 04:18 pm (UTC)I looked it up and we made our pact in summer of 2012 because I asked for story prompts and you told me all the Shakespeare plays you'd seen.

Date: 2018-12-19 10:08 am (UTC)Ah, is that what it was? I had the entry and I knew there must have obviously been some conversation at some point.
It's a bit of a mix, because I used the BBC Shakespeare - they're a little old for some people, but as I can't get out & find it hard to read the plays cold, they include every work that was canonical in 1980 and are often close to full text, plus more old character actors I like! So, basically, I just got whichever of them was going cheapest second hand on Amazon, or I found in a charity shop! (The 2 & 3 Henry VIs were like 1p +p&p! Poor Henry VI; they were good ones too. Jane Powell's direction across that tetralogy was really strong & kept emphasising both the power and lack of power of the women throughout.)
I've slowed down (as you see), but I actually found The Winter's Tale in a charity shop the other day and am really looking forward to that in the New Year when hopefully I have more brain.
Of course, now I can hardly remember the ones I watched first... :-D
