:-) Pants is good, but giraffe just has a nice unexpected quality. And, really, it is partly due to

pitry and her theory that all giraffes are evil aliens trying to conquer the planet. Or something. It's sort of ended up becoming a Thing in the corners of LJ I inhabit. Along with ninja penguins.

(Much of this is to do with

fic_rush, a comm where in theory we all encourage each other to write as much as possible over one weekend every month, but also seem to have garnered a menagerie of ninja penguins, alien fish, bonsai giraffes and probably some other things. Nobody can remember how that happened now.)
