A brief note

There has been a friending meme, which I sort of took part in (I put myself on it and thought if anyone friended me despite/because of all my strange interests, they must be the best people, heh) and also there were a few people over the seasonal exchanges. Well, I have an introductory post I did last month for the other friending memes, and things are still pretty much the same. But welcome anyhow!

Other people are doing one of those asking questions/tell me things meme to get to know people. I'm not. (Because I can only think of one thing to say - like Evelyn in The Mummy: "I'm a librarian!" Which is only now true in the non-technical sense, anyway. And then my mind goes utterly blank about asking questions. It always happens. So I'm not doing that.)

Instead I'll either post yet another David Collings picspam (but I am nearly all out of source material, okay) or a belated fic year-in-review post. I haven't decided yet, but they are both all but ready in draft, so one of those should happen in the next hour.

I know. Gosh. Can it get more exciting round here? :loL:

But, anyway, welcome to the new new people! And to the still slightly-new people and the shiny old people. Life's too tough not to need more good people in it, so it's good to have you here. ♥

I saw an interview with a famous jazz musician once where he said that a musician was something he was, not something he did, and he'd be a musician always even if he were forbidden ever to touch a musical instrument again.

I expect it's much the same being a librarian.

Noooo, "I'm an analyst" sounds exciting to me, because now I think you are like Ruth Evershed from Spooks (a Senior analyst at MI5, she likes to think there isn't an organisation in the country that's safe from her). One of my all-time favourite characters in anything. :lol:
