More Happy Endings

thisbluespiritAt some point over the next few hours, you should be able to find another one of my companion leaving AUs Happy Endings, Hasty Exits here.
I've obviously been writing other things, but I'm wondering if I'm cut out for this, because I'm slightly uneasy. Writing AUs - "But none of this really happened!" And wondering if the pairings will seem wrong in some cases. But my idea is to feature those who were just as likely as anyone else, with people like Leela, Peri and Mel whose exits were particularly random being liable to being proposed to by just about anyone. So theirs will be weirder. (Except writing Harry/Sarah. That's not weird. And I'm thinking about Terror of the Zygons as well as The Android Invasion here....)
Although there is one already written, but I have to write at least two more sensible ones before I can post it, because it's so not in the spirit of the thing. Also, now I can start watching the Leela stories, that will help because (much as I always end up liking Leela and Andred), frankly, anyone she meets is as likely a future partner as Andred.
Jo has a whole queue but I've never seen Peladon and it's been a while since I've watched Planet of the Daleks, although I will keep them in mind. Nyssa also has a fair few admirers, but I'm stumped on Tegan, unless I work something odd with Turlough. Other than that, she's liable to end up with Sir Robert...
Oh, and I should say, that when I posted the first couple on alt.drwho.creative, it inspired everyone to rival me with daft AU exit drabbles. See here.

b) the snippet was Damon non-AU asking where he went wrong and Andred went right. Obviously, in the AU where he got Nyssa this question no longer applied.
But yes, the ending was one of those things that was both obvious and a surprise when I was writing. :-)
