1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

[personal profile] persiflage_1picked these for me:

I should say straight off that they were all made by other, very talented people, since I am completely useless at icon-making.

Harry! [info]persiflage_1says I have to explain why I love him. Erm. I'm not sure there are reasons other than it seems to be the inevitable result of watching too much classic Who. (He's he not in any way as stupid or as useless as some people would like to claim. Yes, Doctor, that is you I'm looking at.)

And, of course, a Brigadier icon is also needed. This one is rather fun. Plus, I post largely about my fic and the Brigadier features one way or another in a lot of them. (Sometimes in ways that I'm still apologetic about. He wasn't amused by the whole Pride and Prejudice thing....)

Ditto this. Since over 2008 I wrote 8 or 9 Brig/Liz (or S7 with hints of Brig/Liz) fics, an icon was needed. This perfectly illustrates sleepysheep's point (I think it was) about the fact that it's very hard to take a still from Spearhead with the Brig and Liz that doesn't look shippy out of context. It's the sarky Liz vs unflappable Brig that had me addicted.

I like Eight. I love writing Eight and Charley, although they are currently in at least 3 partly written fics at the moment. I expect I went in search of a nice Eight icon when I posted Anarchist Sprites.

Nice quote from DW. I like nice quotes. There were a lot this icon maker did and it was very hard to choose, but I thought this made a nice general icon.

Okay. Go to the userpics page. Right click on the userpic you want to post. Go to Properties. That will bring up a dialog box and on that is the link/URL of the userpic. Highlight and copy that URL, then paste it into the <*img src> code I gave you. You may find it helpful to open the userpics page in a separate browser window/tab - and I also used notepad to paste the URLs into...
