1. I've been a bit quiet on the fic front, having been tired lately (and stories go too flat, so I had to leave them all waiting once I'd done the

2. I hadn't forgotten StarCrossed and it's now got a lot more links on it and looks at least a little less random. And then I thought of another, similar idea, but I'll let you in on that when I've actually put something sensible on it. (Yes, mad librarian trying to catalogue things again, I know.)
3. In the process of this I had an idea for an Angel crossover of my own. (I do rather love Angel). And then, today, when I finally was able to write again, what did I do? My 1851 story, the Hex/Martha one, said Angel crossover or the next Happy Ending? No, I decided to do a Polly/Brig bit for

Edit: And, and, and, someone just reviewed my Really Obscure piece of fanfic. I stuck it on ff.net about three weeks ago, since it might as well sit there (in the British Comedy section, On The Up, not being counted as a show) and someone else who watched the show has just given it love. *dances for joy* (Not that I didn't really appreciate your reading it, too

I will get back to reading your UNIT series in the next day or two (and will start reading the tardis_gen fics), but I'm in the midst of the angstiest of angsty plot bunnies for last night's ep of Law and Order: UK and I've no space in my head for the Whoniverse until the fic's done...

Date: 7 Apr 2009 08:06 pm (UTC)And I'm not surprised about L&O angst. I saw the end (I intended channel-hopping like last time, but Heroes decided to be surprisingly good and have Hiro in it and I couldn't change channels till it finished.) But I imagine it was a shocking ep.
And I've noticed you reading my stories - heh!!! Don't worry. It gave me a chance to eliminate unneccesary !s in Undercover before you got there. (Actually, rereading it, Part 1 is fine.)

Very intense...

Date: 8 Apr 2009 11:20 am (UTC)And then I thought of another, similar idea - Ooh, do tell! I'll check out your updated CrossoversOfInsane blog (which is what I'm calling it in my head) in the Easter hols - which is of course exactly what Easter hols are for.

Date: 8 Apr 2009 04:33 pm (UTC)There must be other fans around or they wouldn't have bothered with the DVDs. I just suspect they're not the type to hang around on the net, reading fanfic. ;-) (And I know, isn't it great? Your reading it was even more miraculous, cos you didn't even know the show, but a little "That is exactly what Sam would say" praise does also bring joy to my heart. :-D)
I shall remain as stubbornly mysterious about it for the moment as you are about your Obscure DW Crossover. ;-p. Hmm, Star Crossed is a little cliched, but I think I'll keep it. People might get worried to find they'd been name-checked on The CrossoversOfInsane... Now you've made me giggle.

Date: 10 Apr 2009 01:46 am (UTC)Thanks for the rec! Heee, how exciting! And I actually jumped up and down a little, because I knew you had another Spooks crossover, but I had a search for it a while back and couldn't find it... I thought I was going crazy. And it is as fabulous as I remembered!
She gave the Tenth Doctor a look. "I worked at MI5. We all spy on one another when we're not in a story. There's nothing else to do. Not like here." She brightened. "This looks like fun!"
"She must be mad," said Harry to Adric.
"Bonkers," he agreed and they both moved away.
And poor Tessa - Now I've lost out to silly, infatuated Ruth and a bunch of insane science-fiction characters. - It is a rough ending!
Also (this is turning into a comment of epic proportions) - the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang crossover is delightful, and the Daleks in Discworld - oh my! Allow me to rec you this superb Yuletide story which while devoid of Daleks, is an equally genius Discworld crossover.

Date: 10 Apr 2009 07:40 am (UTC)Am slightly dazed by the fact that you'd want to navigate Plot and Loophole twice, even without knowing who/what all the classic Who characters are. Heh. Well, to be fair, Tessa is quite evil. She shouldn't have said something like that to Death, though. ;-)
(And I like comments of epic proportions, if they're as enthusiastic about this.) The Dalek Invasion of Discworld is brilliant, no doubt. Your rec is definitely the maddest I've yet seen. How someone pulled that off, I'll never know, but it's wonderful. Thanks for pointing me in the direction, because I'd never have headed off for the Hundred Acre Wood otherwise.

Date: 11 Apr 2009 12:51 pm (UTC)Aw, you never know, fics do get re-sparked off sometimes. I took nine years to write one of my fics. I stopped, after I lost net access, but couldn't quite stop myself writing bits and finished it in 2007.
